Moremi Game Reserve is a designated area in Botswana. It is situated on the eastern side of the Okavango Delta and is named after Chief Moremi of the BaTawana tribe. Moremi was originally designated as a game reserve rather than a national park. Consequently, the BaSarwa or Bushmen living in that area were allowed to stay in the reserve.
Day 1 : Transfer from Maun to Chobe National Park
Your tour guide will greet you at Kasane International Airport or at your place of stay. After a brief overview from your guide, we will head to a lodge located conveniently within Maun. Chobe National Park is situated in northern Botswana, near the vast inland Okavango Delta. In the dry season, vast herds of Cape buffalo and elephants gather by the Chobe Riverfront. The woodlands and lagoons encircling Linyanti Marsh provide a habitat for lions, antelopes, and hippos. The floodable grasslands of the Savuti Marsh draw numerous bird species and migrating zebras.
Day 2 : Explore Chobe National Park
We will rise early, enjoy a substantial breakfast, and then embark on a game drive beside the magnificent Chobe River. We will watch animals as they come to water sources in the morning, and possibly see some predators preparing for a restful day after a busy night. Once lunch is complete, you can relax and get ready for the afternoon sundowner drive, allowing you to witness the animals as they enjoy their last moments of the day.
Day 3 : Transfer to Moremi Game Reserve
This morning, we embark on a 4-hour drive to Moremi, where we will spend one night. Upon our arrival, we will embark on a drive through Moremi to explore the fascinating sites and visit the waterholes where the animals gather. There will be time for a shower before supper. After dinner, we will relish the campfire and immerse ourselves in the sounds of the surrounding nature before heading to our tents with beds.
Day 4: Departure to Maun
Today, we will leave the Moremi Game Reserve and head back to Maun. We will ensure you arrive at the international airport on time for your journey home or to the border if you wish to extend your tour to other countries.
