Day 1: Travel to the Okavango Delta
Your journey starts with pick up from the airport by an African Vacation Safari upon arrival at Mun Airport and get on a light aircraft for a 20 minute flight transfer to Khwai Airstrp, followed by a short of about 20-30 minutes to your camp.
If you are interested in a scenic route, opt for a 2 – 3 hours road transfer instead.
Spend the evening at your camp, preparing for the immersive adventure in Khwai Concession. Awaiting. In the evening you can take a walk around the camp.
Also known as Khwai Community Concession, Khwai Concession is a former hunting concession and one of the most renowned wildlife region – the Okavango Delta. It was established by the local Khwai villagers, a community which also plays a vital role in the conservation and management of the area. The concession forms the northern boundary of the Okavango Delta, offering a unique safari experience in this renowned wildlife regions.

Day 2-3: Explore the Okavango Delta
These two days are for exploring the famous Okavango Delta, an oasis of waterways, wildlife and endless wonder and one of the most extraordinary safari destinations in Africa.
Unlike most river deltas that empty into the ocean, the Okavango Delta spills into the Kalahari Desert, creating an immense network of channels, lagoons and islands teaming with wildlife. The delta is home to an astonishing variety of wildlife including elephants, hippos, buffaloes, lions, cheetahs, and African wild dogs and over 400 bird species, including the majestic African fish eagle and the elusive Pel’s fishing owl.
On these two days, you will take part in a mokoro safari with a guided walking safari for an ultimate wilderness experience. Glide through the Okavango Delta’s calm channels in a traditional dug-out canoe, spotting hippos, elephants and buffaloes.
Then, embark on foot with expert guides for a guided walking safari on which you will truly connect with the environment around you. Day 4: Fly to Chobe National Park
After a delicious breakfast at your lodge, head to the airstrip for a light craft flight to Chobe National Park, renowned for its vast herds of elephants, spectacular scenery and is a premier Big 5 destination in Africa.
On landing, you will meet our expert African Vacations Safari guide and embark on thrilling game drives in open-sided 4x4s, searching for various animals calling the park home. Witness elephants, hippos, buffaloes, lions, cheetahs, African wild dogs and the rare puku antelopes along the Chobe River and the savannah plains. You will have a lunch break, then continue with a game drive till late afternoon and go for a serene sundowner cruise on the Chobe River.
