Basecamp Hill Top Lodge is a premium accommodation located in the Pardamat conservation regions (the newest and most fascinating conservation areas) of the Masaai Mara National Reserve in Kenya. The camp is owned and administered by the Sarani Collection, which manages various properties throughout Kenya. To reach the resort, take a 5-6 hour (250km) drive from Nairobi to Masaai Mara National Park or a 45-minute fly from Nairobi to a nearby airfield, followed by a short transportation to the camp. Basecamp’s hilltop comprises of five dome-shaped, comfy, and roomy safari tents with views of the untamed plains. The tent has twin, double, individual (single) beds, and family rooming options. Each tent depicts a historic building style.
Each tent has a raised platform with en-suite facilities such as clean private flush toilets, indoor hot and cold showers, chairs, mosquito nets, hand wash basins, deck chairs, wooden tables, free bottled water in the rooms, free toiletries, and other amenities. Each tent contains sitting rooms and verandas with vanity decks that provide stunning views of the plains, wildlife, and nearby places. There are crackling fireplaces with comfortable chairs where guests may rest and discuss their safari experiences. Additionally, it gives warmth to visitors on cold evenings.
