Day 1: Transfer from Diani to Tsavo East National Park.
On the first day of the safari you will wake up early in the morning for morning breakfast, at exactly 06:00 hours you will be picked by your safari drive from African safari Vacation Safaris who will welcome you and brief you about the safari then start your journey to Tsavo east national park. From Diani to Tsavo East National Park it is a drive of approximately 3 to 4 hours, with the rewarding landscapes and the several breathtaking spots along the way. One of the highlight is the scenic drive through the Shimba Hills, which offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape and the chance to spot the wildlife like elephants, buffaloes, antelopes and among many others. Another notable spot is the Buchuma Gate, which marks the entrance of Tsavo east National Park and offers a glimpse into the park’s unique volcanic landscape and diverse wildlife.
Once you reach in the park, you will check in and after lunch you will go for an afternoon game drive. On the game drive you will see many animals such as lions, elephants, elephants, buffaloes, leopards and many more, you will also visit Aruba dam in the park which is always crowded by many animals, as well as the Galana River where you will spot diverse number of the animal species and bird species. After the game drive, your safari guide will return you back to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 2: game drive and transfer to Diani.
On the last day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and be served with a hearty breakfast, after breakfast you will check out from your lodge and meet your safari guide and go for the morning game drive to spot the early risers offering you the first hand wildlife safari experience. You will catch the African sunrise in its natural splendor as you look out for the game. During the morning game drive you will spot predators such as lions, leopards, cheetahs among other animals.
Alternatively, you can go for the Maasai village tours that allows the visitors to experience into the traditional way of life of the Maasai people, during the tour you will have the opportunity to visit a traditional Manyatta, where you will be welcomed by the villagers and introduced to their customs and traditions, you will have the chance to witness their vibrant traditional handmade crafts and souvenirs.
After the experience, you will embark on your journey back to your resort in Diani Beach. Along the way you will have the stunning views alongside enroute lunch. After lunch you will proceed with your journey and your safari guide will drop you off to your hotel that will make your safari come to the end.
