Day 1: Transfer from Nairobi to Tsavo East National park.
On the first day of the safari you will be picked from Kenyatta International airport or from your hotel in Nairobi by your safari driver from African Vacation Safaris upon arrival, he will welcome your and brief you about the 3 days Tsavo East National Park Safari and after you will begin on your drive to Tsavo East national park which takes approximately 6-7 hours, along the way you will have the perfect views of very many and beautiful landscapes and the Taita hills before entering the park. Tsavo East National Park is a famous tourist safari destination located in the semi-arid area of Taru Desert near the town of Voi in Taita Taveta County formally known as Coast province, the park is famous for hosting a large population of man-eaters and red elephants which get their color from the red dust they roll in. And upon the time you arrive the park, you will check in your lodge, and be served with lunch, and if time allows you will go the afternoon game drive where you will sight various wildlife in the park that is lions, buffaloes, antelopes, rhinos, elephants and others and watching various bird species. After the experience you will be transferred back to your lodge and be served with dinners, then relax and have an overnight stay.
Day 2: Full day in Tsavo East National Park.
On the 2nd day of the safari you will wake up early in the morning and be served with a delicious breakfast, you will meet your safari driver then head to the park for a morning game drive. Tsavo East national park is a famous protected area for hosting a large population of man-eaters (lions), on the drive you will see many animals such as pride of animals, red elephants, rhinos, buffaloes, hippo, crocodiles, lesser kadu, gerenuk, waterbucks and many more, and the park is known for over 500 bird species, that is during the game drive you will as well spot diverse numbers of the beautiful and colourful bird species or alternatively in the morning you can go for the Maasai village tour in Tsavo East National Park as this offers enriching culture experience that allows the visitors to gain insight into the traditional way of life of the Maasai people. During the tour, you will have the opportunity to visit a local Maasai village, where you will be welcomed by the community and introduced to their traditions.

You will learn about the Maasai’s semi-nomadic lifestyle, and their rich culture, and you will also have the chance to participate in traditional dances and singing and among many others. After the morning game drive you will be transferred back to your lodge for lunch. And after lunch you return back to the park in the afternoon where you will return for another game drive, in the afternoon you will spot more animal species especially the ones that you missed during the morning game drive, you can explore Galana River which is a haven for the wildlife especially during the dry season that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.
The Yatta Plateau is the world’s longest lava flow this offers unique and unforgettable game drive experience, as well as the Aruba Dam is a popular watering hole that is excellent spot for the afternoon game drive it attracts a wide variety of wildlife like elephnats, lions, antelopes and among others that offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape in the afternoon game drive. Day 3: Depart back to Nairobi.
On the last day of the safari, you will wake up early in the morning and be served with a hearty breakfast, after you will check out from your lodge and then meet your Kenya safari guide and depart from the lodge. Along the way you will have the enroute game drive, you will watch various wildlife in the park that is rewarding and then you will proceed with your journey to Nairobi. Along the way you will have enroute lunch, and after lunch you will embark on your journey to Nairobi. When you get in Nairobi you will be dropped off at your hotel or at the Jomo Kenyatta International airport for your departure flight back home that will make your safari come to the end.
