Day 1: Transfer to Maasai Mara National Reserve.
On the 1st day of the safari, your safari guide from African Vacation Safaris, will pick you either from your hotel in Nairobi or from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, he will welcome you and brief you about the 4 days Fly in Maasai Mara Safaris. After the briefing you will be transferred to Wilson Airport for your domestic flight to Maasai Mara National Reserve, this will take you 45 to 1 hour. This offers you thrilling aerial journey that soars over the rolling hills and vast savannahs of Kenya’s countryside, offering the perfect views of the landscape below, before landing at Keekorok Airstrip, providing an exhilarating and bird’s-eye perspective on the reserve’s vast wilderness and setting the tone for an unforgettable safari adventure. And once you land in Maasai Mara, you will be welcomed by your African Vacation Safari tour guide and then you will experience a short en-route game drive as you head to your lodge, and then you will check in and be served with lunch.
After lunch, you will meet your guide and then be transferred back to the reserve to observe various abundant wildlife that includes animal species like elephants, giraffes, zebras, leopards, rhinos, cheetahs, antelopes, wildebeests and among many others and bird species that includes lilac-breasted roller, secretary birds, Kori bustard, vulturine Guinea fowl, hawks, ostriches and among others in the beautiful landscape. After the experience you will return back to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 2 and 3: Full day in Maasai Mara National Reserve.
On the 2nd and then 3rd day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and then enjoy your hearty breakfast. After breakfast you may decide to have packed lunch or return back to the lodge and enjoy lunch. On these two days you will have enough time to explore the reserve in search of the reserve’s famous wildlife including the big five mammals including the lions, buffaloes, rhinos, elephants and leopards. And among others like zebras, cheetahs, waterbucks, wildebeests, hippos, giraffes and among others minus forgetting thee bird species. After the morning game drive you will enjoy the picnic lunch in the reserve as this is the serene and scenic experience, where a delicious meal is set up amidst the wilderness, surrounded by the sounds of nature and the majestic African landscape, allowing the guests to savor local flavours while taking in the breathtaking views of the savannah, spotting wildlife and enjoying the tranquility of the reserve, making for a memorable and rejuvenating safari experience.
After lunch you will return back to the reserve, this is where you will explore the reserve and spotting more wildlife over the savannah as wildlife emerges to feed and socialize, offering opportunities to spot the majestic lions lazing in the shade, cheetahs stalking prey, elephants roaming in the family herds, and giraffes browsing treetops, while the reserve’s grasslands and over sources come alive with grazing zebras, wildebeests, and antelopes and among many others making for an unforgettable wildlife spectacle. Day 4: Return to Nairobi.
On the last days of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy your hearty breakfast. After breakfast you will check out from your lodge and then you will be transferred to the nearby airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi, with the perfect aerial views of the landscape along the way. And once you arrive in Nairobi, your safari guide from African Vacation Safaris will be waiting for you at Wilson Airport for an onward transfer to your hotel in Nairobi or to the International airport, and then in case you wish to explore some Nairobi’s attractions like Giraffe center or any others, then this can be perfect time. And after you will be dropped at Jomo Kenyatta international Airport for your return back home that will make your safari come to the end.
