5 Days Fly in Maasai Mara safari : A Kenya safari is an immersive adventure that begins with a scenic flight from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport to Maasai Mara’s  Serene Airstrip followed by the four night of luxury safari experience in the renowned Maasai Mara national reserve, where visitors can witness the Big five, witness the great migration (depending on the season that is the great migration in Maasai Mara national reserve takes place between July to October) and enjoy guided morning and afternoon game drives, relaxation at luxury lodge or camp, and cultural experiences with the local Maasai community, making for a memorable and action-packed gateway, with the extra days allowing for a deeper exploration of the reserve’s diverse landscapes, wildlife and ecosystems, and providing ample opportunities for photography, wildlife viewing and relaxation, all set against the stunning backdrop of Africa’s savannah landscapes.

Day 1: Arrival.

On the first day of the safari, depending on the time of your arrival, you will be met and welcomed by our safari guide from African Vacation Safaris who will welcome you and brief you about the 5 days safari. Later you will be transferred to your hotel in Nairobi for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay for tomorrow’s activities.

Day 2: Fly to Maasai Mara national reserve.

On the 2nd day of the safari, wake up early in the morning, and then be served with a hearty breakfast. After breakfast, you will check out from your hotel and meet your safari guide and then transfer to Nairobi national park and then visit Sheldrick animal orphanage that offers a heartwarming encounter with the rescued baby elephants, where you can witness their feeding and care, learn about conservation efforts, and interact with these gentle giants, creating an unforgettable experience that fosters appreciation for the wildlife conservation and the importance of protecting endangered species. After the experience you will be transferred and enjoy your lunch. After lunch you will be transferred to the Wilson airport for your domestic flight Maasai Mara national reserve’s Mara Serena Airport. And once you arrive you will be picked by your safari guide from your lodge and then head to Maasai Mara for the later afternoon game drive to where you will spot various animal species like buffaloes, lions, rhinos, giraffes, cheetahs, wildebeests and among others. After the game drive you will return back to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.

Day 3: Full day in Maasai Mara national reserve.

On the 3rd day of the safari you will have a full day exploring the savannah plains of Masai, game drives start as early as 06:00 am in the morning after breakfast. You are to go for with your packed lunch for picnic lunch then proceed with the game viewing experience or you can be driven back to the lodge after the morning game drive for lunch.  Full day game drive in Masai Mara national reserve offers a chance to witness animals in the reserve such as Lion, Elephant, Rhino, Leopard and Buffalo, Cheetah, Giraffe, Hippo, oribis, olive baboons, klipspringer, kirk’s dik dik, and Zebra among others.

You will experience the Mara River where you can witness the famous wildebeest crossings and then to spot the crocodiles and the hippos the Sekenani area, known for its high concentration of the lions, leopards and among others during the months of July to October. Additionally, you can explore the Talek area and Mara Triangle which is the excellent spot for the diverse range of wildlife and habitats, like grasslands, woodlands, riverine ecosystems and among others. After the experience you will be transferred back to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.

Day 4: Hot air balloon safari and a Maasai village tours.

On the 4th day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and then meet your Kenya safari guide you will be transferred for the briefing at the designated area. After the briefing you will start the activity as you climb into the basket of the balloon and start your hot air balloon flight on which you will have the wonderful aerial views of the reserve’s abundant wildlife including lions, giraffes, lions, leopards, watching the wildebeest migration and among others this is the perfect opportunity for taking the pictures and many other unique opportunities that are only done by the hot air balloon. After the hot balloon flight, you will be served with a bush breakfast accompanied by the champagne, later you will be returned back to your lodge and be served with lunch.

After lunch, you will meet your safari guide and then transfer for the Maasai village tours, this is a wonderful experience that offers a cultural experience where you will learn about the traditional Maasai way of life, interact with the community, and gain insights into their customs, crafts, and history while supporting local livelihoods and promoting cultural exchange. After the Maasai village tours you will be transferred to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.

Day 5: Departure.

On the last day of the safari, wake up early in the morning, and then enjoy your hearty breakfast. After breakfast you will check out from your lodge and then you will exist the reserve with the enroute morning game drive, later you will be transferred to the airstrip in Maasai Mara national reserve and then you will be transferred Wilson Airport, and later you will be transferred to your hotel in Nairobi or transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport that will make your safari come to the end.
