Detailed itinerary.
Day 1: Pick and Nairobi National Park and Giraffe Center experience.
On the 1st day of the safari, your safari guide from our company representative African Vacation Safaris will pick you up from either Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or from your hotel in Nairobi. He will welcome you and brief you about 7 days Kenya and Beach safari. He will transfer you to Nairobi national park for the morning game drive.
This is a unique and thrilling experience that takes you through the park’s diverse habitats, in search of the iconic wildlife such as lions, leopards, rhinos, giraffes and among others, all set against the stunning backdrop of the Nairobi skyline and the Ngong Hills. You will also explore Sheldrick orphanage to where you will interact with orphaned elephants and get the chance of feeding them. After the morning game drive you will transferred to the nearby restaurant and have lunch.
After lunch you will go for the afternoon experience that is Giraffe center, this is a captivating and interactive encounter that allows you to get up close and personal with the Rothschild’s giraffes, feeding and petting them from a raised platform, while learning about the conservation and the plight of these endangered creatures, all set amidst beautiful gardens and lush greenery. After the experience you will transferred to your hotel for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 2: transfer to Amboseli national park.
On the 2nd day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and be served with a hearty breakfast. After breakfast you will check out from your lodge, meet with your safari guide and start your journey to Amboseli National Park which is 3 to 4 hours. With the beautiful views along the way, upon your arrival you will be served with lunch. After lunch you will go for the afternoon game drive.
On the game drive in the plains of Amboseli national park, you will enjoy views of the wide open grass plains with the famous Mt. Kilimanjaro in the background the highest mountain in Africa. The plains of Amboseli dotted with scattered acacia bush host various wildlife including lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, buffaloes, giraffes and diverse wildlife. Later, return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Full day in Amboseli National Park.
On the 3rd of the safari you will wake up early in the morning and be served with a hearty breakfast. After you will meet your safari guide and go for the morning game drive to spot the early raisers, you will spot the big four mammals of the big five mammals that includes the elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and lions, as well as other animal species like giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, cheetahs, gazelles, antelopes and various bird species. During the experience you will explore the park’s stunning park spots like Longinye River area, Amboseli swamp and others that will give you the intriguing experience. Alternatively you can go for the Maasai village tours, where you will visits local Maasai village, where you will be welcomed by the villagers and introduced to their customs and traditions and daily life. You will learn about the Maasai’s semi-nomadic lifestyle, their intricate jewelry and clothing, and their rich cultural heritage, while also having the chance to support the local community through the purchase of handmade crafts and souvenirs. After the experience, you will be transferred back to the lodge for lunch, and after lunch you will be transferred back to the park for the afternoon game drive.
During the afternoon game drive, you will spot the diverse numbers of animal species in the park’s diverse habitats; you will have an opportunity to explore the plains of Amboseli and watch many animals such as large herds of elephants, lions, giraffes, gazelles, buffaloes, rhinos, antelopes and many more as you enjoy the stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Alternatively you can go for the guided nature walks as this offer you immersive experience that allows you to connect with the park’s stunning natural beauty and the en encountering with the wildlife while you are moving on foot, while accompanied by the knowledgeable guide, you will explore the park’s scenic trails, while discovering unique flora, spotting beautiful and colourful bird species and smaller wildlife, and gaining insight into the park’s delicate ecosystem and the intricate relationships between its inhabitants. After the experience you will head back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.
Day 4: Transfer from Amboseli National Park to Tsavo West National Park.
On the 4th day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy your breakfast, after breakfast checkout of your lodge and go for an en-route game drive as you head to Tsavo West national park. On arrival you will have lunch at your lodge and in the afternoon you will go for an afternoon game drive, Tsavo West national park is a famous Kenya destination known for various species of animals and geological features most especially in the northern section of the park such as Mzima Springs. On the game drive you will have an opportunity to view many animals such as lions, elephants, buffaloes, rhinos, zebras, gazelles and crocodile sat Mzima springs. In the evening you will have dinner and stay overnight at your lodge.
Day 5: En-route game drive and transfer to Diani Beach.
On the 5th day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and then enjoy breakfast. After breakfast you will check out from your lodge and meet your safari guide for the enroute morning game drive to spot the park early raisers that includes the big five mammals including the rhinos, buffaloes, elephants, leopards and lions. You will spot various wildlife that you missed during the previous game drives. After the experience you will transfer to Diani beach, that takes you approximately 4 hours’ drive with the stunning views along the way, until you reach Diani beach in your resort. And once you arrive you will check in your lodge and be served with lunch with the sea food. After lunch you will participate in the various safari activities like enjoying white sand beaches, refreshing views of the ocean, swimming, and among others. After the experiences you will return to your resort for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Full day at Diani beach.
On the 6th day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy your breakfast. After breakfast you will meet your safari guide and transfer to Shimoni south of Diani to where you will take a boat excursion to Kisite-Mpunguti and Wasini Island; this is where you will have the opportunity to see dolphins and see fish species, coral reefs and others.
During your safari at the marine park you will get the chance and get out of the boat and swim, snorkeling and relax in the middle of the ocean.
After exploring the Marine National Park you will take a boat to Wasini Island and get various dishes served during your lunch, and test various sea food and fish, juice. After lunch you will go by boat to Shimoni and then get back to your beach resort for relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 7: Depart to Moi International Airport.
On the last day of the safari, get up early in the morning and enjoy your breakfast. After breakfast, check out from your resort and your safari guide will transfer you to Moi International Airport that will make your safari come to the end.
