Detailed itinerary of 10 Day Kenya-Tanzania Posh Bush Tour with Zanzibar Beach
Day 1: Arrival and Giraffe Center Experience
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by our African Vacation Safaris representative and Driver Guide. After a warm introduction and a short briefing about what to expect, you will be transferred to your hotel in Nairobi for check in and refreshing.
In the afternoon you will go for a visit to the Giraffe Centre where you will get to feed the giraffes as well as touching them. Later return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Transfer to Maasai Mara
After breakfast, you will proceed to Maasai Mara Game Reserve on a drive of approximately 4-5 hours with stops at the Rift Valley View for views of the Rift Escarpments and in Narok for an interaction with the local people. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge/camp, in the afternoon you will go for game viewing in Maasai Mara searching for several iconic wildlife species the reserve is known for such as lions, leopards, giraffes, among others.

Day 3: Full day in Maasai Mara
This day shall be spend in Maasai Mara National Reserve, exploring the endless savannah plains with an opportunities for an optional hot air balloon ride. The Maasai Mara Ecosystem hosts the highest concentration of wild animals per square kilometers than any protected area in region, during the game drives you will see several animal including elephants, lions, cheetahs, buffaloes, antelopes, warthogs, hyenas and many more animals species.
You shall enjoy picnic lunch at one of the picnic sites along the Mara River, continue exploring the reserve till sunset, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer to Serengeti
After breakfast, you depart Maasai Mara and proceed to Serengeti National Park via Isebania Border. After clearing with immigration authorities you will proceed to the vast Serengeti with lunch along the way. Arrive in the park in the late afternoon and with a short game drive, you will head to your lodge for check-in, enjoy dinner and have an overnight stay.

Day 5: Full day in Serengeti
Have a full day game drive in Serengeti National Park, with picnic lunch. Explore this vast nature endowed abundant wildlife including the Big Five and the Great Wildebeest Migration. You have options of morning and afternoon game drives or full day game viewing.
The Great Wildebeest Migration is the most famous attraction in Serengeti, this annual spectacle involves over 2 million wildebeests and ten thousands of gazelles and zebras as they embark on their yearly search for water and green pastures. The Serengeti plains also host abundant wildlife including lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, rhinos, elephants, impala, elands, giraffes, cheetahs, warthogs among others which you will see during the game drives.

Day 6: Transfer to Arusha and fly to Zanzibar
Enjoy a morning game drive, then depart for Arusha Town where you will enjoy lunch and in the afternoon, transfer to Arusha Airport for your flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, you will be met by our Zanzibar Driver Guide and transfer you to Stone Town Hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Stone town tour, Prison Island and Spice Tour
After breakfast at your hotel, meet your guide and go for a captivating spice tour on which you will know why this beautiful island is known as the “Spice Island”, discover the rich aromas of locally grown spices such as cloves, nutmeg, vanilla and cinnamon, along with several tropical fruits like coconuts.
Then head to the Prison Island where you will encounter the island’s famous giant tortoises and get to feed them, if you like you can take a swim in the crystal blue waters of the island. Return to your hotel for lunch, in the afternoon you will go for a Stone Town tour visiting some of the iconic sites in this ancient town such as the House of Wonders, the Slave Market, and the Forodhani Market among other amazing sites.
