Detailed itinerary.
Day 1: transfer to Amboseli.
On the first day and the beginning day of your safari, your safari guide from African Vacation Safaris will pick you from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or from your hotel in Nairobi and he will brief you about the safari, then later you will embark on your journey to Amboseli national park that is approximately 3 hours. The drive from Nairobi to Amboseli takes you through a scenic route passing through the bustling town of Emali and then onto the Mukueni County, offering stunning views of the rolling hills, vast ranches, and the traditional Maasai homesteads. As you proceed the south, the landscape gradually changes, becoming more arid and savannah-like, with acacia trees and baobabs dotting the horizon; you are to reach in the park in afternoon for lunch at your lodge. After lunch you will go for an afternoon game drive that will take 3 to 4 hours regarding to the location of wildlife in the open safari vehicle where you will experience wonderful and attractive wildlife in the park including the marvelous free-ranging elephants, lions, leopards, and various beautiful bird species with the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. After the game drive you will go back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: full day game drive in Amboseli national park.
On the 2nd day of the safari, you wake up early in the morning for breakfast, after breakfast meet your guide and leave your lodge for the park for the morning game drive that offer outstanding safari experience that allows the visitors to witness the park’s incredible wildlife in their natural habitat. The morning game drive takes you to the park to spot the various wildlife especially like the lions, leopards, and buffaloes, antelopes cheetahs as they are most during the morning and among others. After the morning game drive you will be transferred to your lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will transfer again to the park for the afternoon game drive that offers you a chance to see a wide variety of wildlife including elephants, giraffes, zebras, as they congregate around the water sources and grazing areas drink and socialize. The best spots for the game drives are the observation Deck that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, Narok swamp a haven for birdlife and wildlife. After the afternoon game drive you will be transferred to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 3: Transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve.
On the 3rd day of the 8 Days Amboseli, Maasai Mara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy your hearty breakfast. After breakfast, you will check out from your lodge and then meet your safari guide and then begin your journey to Maasai Mara national reserve with the gorgeous drive that takes you through the stunning landscapes of the southern Kenya and northern Tanzania. Along the way, you will pass through the grasslands, rural villages, offering glimpses into local life and culture. The drive also offers opportunities to spot the wildlife, including the elephants, giraffes, antelopes, as well as picturesque views of Lake Victoria. The route takes you across the border, where you can experience the unique blend of Kenyan and Tanzanian cultures and landscapes. And along the way you can have the enroute lunch in Nairobi; and after lunch you will proceed with your journey until you reach the park. And once you arrive the park you will go for the late afternoon game drive afterwards where you will view the stunning animal species like lions, leopards, elephants and among others. After you will return back to the lodge for dinner, and overnight stay.
Day 4: Full day Maasai Mara experience.
On the 4th day you will wake up early in the morning and enjoy hearty breakfast. After the breakfast you will meet your safari guide and go for the full day’s safari experience. During the safari you will have the intriguing spotting of the big five mammals. You will visit the Mara River where you can witness the dramatic river crossings of the Great Migration when the period is between July to August. After the morning experience you can either be driven back to your lodge and enjoy lunch or have a picnic lunch. After lunch you will be transferred back to the reserve for the afternoon game drive.
During the afternoon game drive you will explore Oloololo Escarpment that offers breathtaking views of the reserve, as well you can visit Talek River and the Rhino Ridge, where you can spot the predators like cheetahs, hyenas, zebras, wildebeests and among many others. After the experience you will be transferred back to your lodge for dinner relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 5: Transfer to Serengeti national park.
On the 5th day, get up early in the morning take your hearty breakfast and the check out from your lodge and then meet your safari guide and go for the early enroute morning game drive to view the early risers as transfer to Serengeti, this is where you will spot the lions, elephants, buffaloes and among other plus various bird species. After you will begin your journey back to Serengeti national park, and cross Namanga border, and then your safari guide from African Vacation Safaris in Tanzania will pick you; welcome you and then brief you about the Tanzania part of the safari and then transfer you to Serengeti national park with the enroute lunch along the way. After the lunch you will embark on your journey and once you arrive you will check in your lodge and then transfer for the afternoon game drive to spot the park’s magnificent wildlife including viewing the big five mammals, experience the game drive you will be transferred to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 6: Morning game drive and afternoon game drive in Serengeti National Park.
On the 6th day of the safari, get up early in the morning and enjoy the hearty breakfast. After the breakfast, you will meet your safari guide and explore the vast savannah plains of the park to look for the early risers that includes the lions, leopard, buffaloes, hippos, elephants, dik-dik, impalas, and many others. After the morning game drives, you will enjoy your packed lunches in the middle of the wilderness while spotting the various animal species in the backdrop of the beautiful landscapes.
After enjoying your lunch, you will go for the extra afternoon game drives to where you will spot diverse numbers of the wildlife and different park’s attractions like the kopjes which can be seen around the national park for example the Simba Kopjes where the large numbers of lions can be spotted relaxing at the top of the rocks. And after the experience you will be transferred back to your lodge for relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 7: Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area for crater drive experience.
On the 7th day of the 8 Days Amboseli, Maasai Mara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro safari, get up early in the morning and enjoy your breakfast. After breakfast, together with your packed lunch meet your safari guide and get ready to transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area for more wildlife experience. As you exist the lodge you will have the perfect morning views of the various early risers including the lions, buffaloes, elephants and among others, with the beautiful views along the way. And once you arrive the area, you will be transferred to your lodge and check in and be served with lunch. After lunch you will meet your safari guide and go for the afternoon game drive around Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
During the experience you will spot the diverse numbers of the wildlife that includes wildebeests, antelopes, elands, gazelles, cheetahs, zebras, and others in the crater’s unique ecosystem. You will explore the crater floor where the fertile soils and abundant water support a diverse variety flora and fauna. Another great spot is the crater’s western corridor, where the Munge River flows, that attracts a wide variety of animals that includes wildebeests, gazelles, zebras, and among others, with the stunning views of the surrounding landscape, with the crater’s towering walls rising up in the distance. Day 8: Transfer to Arusha.
On the 8th day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and be served with a hearty breakfast, after breakfast check out from your lodge with your packed lunch, and meet your safari guide and then get back to Arusha with the idyllic and spectacular views while existing your lodge. You will proceed with your journey to Arusha. upon your arrival you will be transferred to the airport and catch the flight back home that will make your safari come to the end.
