Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Maasai Mara National Reserve.
On the first day of the safari, your safari guide from African Vacation Safaris will pick you up either at Jomo International Airport or from your hotel in Kenya, he will welcome you and brief you about the 8 days safari then after the briefing you will embark on the journey to Maasai Mara national reserve the famous and popular Kenya’s safari destination known for the big five mammals and watching the wildebeest migration, then the reserve is known as the domain of the traditional Maasai pastorals. Along the way you will pass through the rolling hills, sighting the Rift valley that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. You will continue through the charming towns of Narok and Sekenani, where you will catch glimpses of the traditional Maasai villages and the vibrant local markets. As you approach Maasai Mara, the scenery transforms into the iconic African savannah with numerous wildlife and setting the stage for unforgettable safari adventure in one of the Africa’s most renowned game reserves. You will then check in your lodge for lunch, after lunch you will return in the reserve for an afternoon game drives to spot the incredible big five mammals that includes lions, buffaloes, rhinos, elephants, leopards and among other and watching various bird species. After the experience you will be transferred to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 2: Full day in Maasai Mara National Reserve.
On the second day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy your breakfast, after taking your breakfast your safari guide will transfer you to the reserve for the morning game drive to where you will enjoy spotting various wildlife like the big five mammals that includes the lions, buffaloes, rhinos, elephants and leopards and among others like topis, cheetahs, hyenas, duikers, jackals, and among others. After the experience you will enjoy lunch in the wildlife as you enjoy the perfect views of the landscape.
After lunch, you will go for the more wildlife safari experience that is the afternoon game drive you will explore the Mara River to spot the rich wildlife including the large herds of the wildebeests, zebras and antelopes. This is also a prime spot to see the Big five mammals like rhinos, buffaloes, leopards, elephants and lions and among others like cheetahs, hyenas and other predators. The Mara River itself is a great spot to see the hippos, crocodiles and other aquatic wildlife while the surrounding grasslands and woodlands are home to a wide variety of birdlife. Optional you can go for the Maasai Village tours to the Maasai people, this is where you will visit an authentic Maasai Manyatta and experience the warm hospitality of the Maasai community. Day 3: Transfer to Arusha.
On the third day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and be served with a delicious breakfast. After breakfast you will check out from your lodge and meet your safari guide and then embark on your journey to Arusha. This is a scenic journey with the vast plains, then attractive villages of the southern Kenya and then northern Tanzania. This is where you will cross the border at Isebania, passing through the bustling towns of Tarime and Musoma with the stunning views of Lake Victoria’s sparkling waters. With the enroute lunch along the way, after lunch you will proceed with your journey to Arusha, with the majestic views of the mountains and forests providing a dramatic backdrop. As you approach Arusha, the landscape transforms into a lush, green oasis, located at the foot of Mount Meru, setting the stage for your nest adventure in Tanzania’s safari capital. And once you arrive you will check in your lodge and be served with dinner, then relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 4: Transfer from Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park.
On the fourth day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy your breakfast. After breakfast you will check out from your lodge and check out from your lodge and then meet your safari from African Vacation Safaris and begin your journey to Lake Manyara National park. Along the way you will have the stunning views of the surroundings that are eye catching and charming. As you arrive the park you will be impressed with the lush forests of the Acacia and Mahogany trees that welcomes you to the park. You will be transferred to your lodge and checking in, after lunch you will meet your safari guide and go for the game drive.
During the game drive you will watch the numerous numbers of the animal species in the different magnificent spots in the park like Lake Manyara shoreline where you will have the stunning spots of the hippos, elephants, giraffes and diverse number of bird species, Maji Moto Hot Springs these natural hot springs is a home to the variety of the wildlife like monkeys, bird species, reptiles and among others. As well other popular hotspots in the park that you explore includes Treetops Walkway, Endabash River, Mahali Mountain, Msasa Woods. Another spectacle of Lake National Park is the tree climbing lions, however spotting them is a game of luck but rewarding. After the experience you will return back to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 5: Transfer from Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park.
On the fifth day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy your breakfast. Then meet your safari guide and then transfer to Serengeti; you will embark on a breathtaking journey through Tanzania’s stunning landscapes. Departing Lake Manyara, you will pass through the scenic rift valley, with the majestic escarpments walls rising dramatically to the east. You will continue passing through the rolling hills, and open plains of the Ngorongoro Highlands, with the occasional Maasai village and cattle herd adding to the scenic charm. As you ascend to the Serengeti’s endless plains, the landscape becomes attractive and welcomes you that is eye catching. You will then continue to the central park area, also called Seronera area that has numerous wildlife with Seronera River that provides water sources for wildlife that offers perfect experience. And once you arrive you will check in your lodge and be served with lunch. After lunch you will be transferred back to the park for the afternoon game drive with the unique sightings of the animal species and bird species in the park. After the experience you will be transferred to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 6: Full day Serengeti experience.
On the sixth day of the safari, get up early in the morning and enjoy the delicious breakfast, with your packed lunch you will meet your safari guide and go to the park for the full day experience. This day offers you unforgettable adventure that allows you to immerse yourself in the park’s stunning landscapes and the incredible wildlife, and explore many of the hidden secret places. During the morning you will watch the sun rise over the endless plains and spotting the early risers such as lions, hyenas, leopards and others as they start their day, as the morning wears on, you will head to the Seronera valley, in the center of Serengeti where you will spot the big five mammals that includes the lions, buffaloes, rhinos, leopard and elephants roam and the grasslands provide a habitat for the incredible variety of wildlife. After the experience you will go for your picnic lunch.
After the picnic lunch, you will continues your exploration of the park visiting the kopjes, as series of the rocky outcrops that offer stunning views of the surrounding plans, and the Retina Hippo pool, where you can watch the hippos wallowing in the shallow waters, before ending the day with the sunset game drive. After the experience you will be transferred back to your lodge for dinner, relaxation an overnight stay.
Day 7: Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
On the seventh day of the safari, get up early in the morning and enjoy your breakfast. After breakfast, together with your packed lunch meet your safari guide and get ready to transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area for more wildlife experience. As you exist the lodge you will have the perfect morning views of the various early risers including the lions, buffaloes, elephants and among others, with the beautiful views along the way you will stop at Olduvai Gorge that offers you the history dating back to the dawn of time. And once you arrive the area, you will be transferred to your lodge and check in and be served with lunch. After lunch you will meet your safari guide and go for the afternoon game drive around Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
During the experience you will spot the diverse numbers of the wildlife that includes wildebeests, antelopes, elands, gazelles, cheetahs, zebras, and others in the crater’s unique ecosystem. You will explore the crater floor where the fertile soils and abundant water support a diverse variety flora and fauna. Another great spot is the crater’s western corridor, where the Munge River flows, that attracts a wide variety of animals that includes wildebeests, gazelles, zebras, and among others, with the stunning views of the surrounding landscape, with the crater’s towering walls rising up in the distance. Day 8: Departure.
On the last day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and be served with a hearty breakfast, after breakfast check out from your lodge with your packed lunch. And meet your safari guide and then get back to Arusha with the perfect views while existing your lodge. You will proceed with your journey to Arusha upon your arrival you will be transferred to your hotel in Arusha or to your Airport that will make your safari come to the end.
