Detailed Itinerary of 9 Day Masai Mara & Serengeti Safari – Tanzania & Kenya
Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara
On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport – Nairobi you will be warmly welcomed by our guide and journey to Masai Mara National Reserve. We arrive at our lodge in time for lunch after check-in.
In the afternoon, set out for your first game drive exploring the endless plains of the reserve. Expect to see several animals including lions, leopards and wildebeests among others. Later in the evening you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Masai Mara National Reserve
Wake up early for breakfast and head to Masai Mara National Reserve for a full day of game drive and exploring the endless plains, you will partake in morning and afternoon game drives in search of the Big Five, witness the Great Wildebeest Migration and several animals.
From the comfort of your safari vehicle, you will spot several animals including Masai giraffes, primates, warthogs, bat eared foxes, dark jackals, spotted hyenas, topis, impalas, hartebeests, wildebeests, zebras, buffaloes and hippos among others. Enjoy picnic lunch and continue exploring the reserve till sunset, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Masai Mara to Lake Naivasha
After breakfast, bid Masai Mara farewell and drive to Lake Naivasha, a beautiful birding destination famously known for flocks of flamingoes and its Crescent Island. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge after checking in, in the afternoon you will go for a boat cruise on Lake Naivasha leading you to Crescent Island for a guided walk among several wildlife including zebras, giraffes, gazelles and several colorful bird species.

Day 4: Lake Naivasha to Amboseli National Park
Enjoy breakfast, bid farewell and embark on a journey to Amboseli National Park, the second popular safari destination in Kenya renowned for its large herds of elephants and the scenic backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro – the tallest mountain in Africa.
Along the journey you will enjoy the scenic views of the changing landscape. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge after check-in. Later in the afternoon you will go for a game drive in savannah plains of Amboseli and enjoy the sunset over Mount Kilimanjaro and several animals.

Day 5: Amboseli to Lake Manyara National Park
Wake up early for a cup of coffee and head to the park for an early morning game drive giving you an opportunity to see early risers such as lions, leopards, African bush dogs as they retreat to their dens.
After the game drive you will return to the lodge for full breakfast, then check out and embark on a journey to Lake Manyara National Park with border crossing at Namanga Border. After clearing with the authorities, you will head to Lake Manyara National Park. Enjoy picnic lunch and embark on a game drive in the park with sighting of several animals including the rare tree climbing lions, buffaloes, zebras and flocks of flamingoes on the shores of Lake Manyara. In the evening you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park
After morning breakfast you will go for a morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, before journeying to the famous Serengeti National Park, one of the best safari destinations in the world showcasing the classical African natural life scenes shot in numerous movies and documentaries.

Day 7: Serengeti National Park
Today is dedicated to exploring Serengeti National Park on morning and afternoon game drives. Serengeti National Park is one of Africa’s most celebrated game parks flowing with wildlife and endless plains.
Covering 14736 sqaure kilometers of African bushveld, Serengeti National Park is the biggest game park in Tanzania. During the game drives you will see several animals including large prides of lions, elephants, buffaloes, herds of wildebeests, gazelles, leopards, cheetahs, African wild dogs, cheetahs among others.
During you day’s exploration you will have a break for picnic lunch and then continue exploring the park till evening. Then return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, you will head to Ngorongoro Conservation Area with en-route game drive through the Serengeti Plains. Descend into Ngorongoro Crater with your packed lunch for a game drive, Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s greatest unfilled caldera at 8300 sqkm hosting a high concentration of wildlife.
During the game drive you will see several animals including large prides of lions, elephants, buffaloes, gazelles, zebras, cheetahs, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes and several animals including flocks of flamingoes on the shores of Lake Magadi in the corner of the crater.
Have a lunch break and enjoy your meals in the crater floor and continue exploring till evening. Later head to your lodge for check in, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9: Departure
After breakfast we depart from the Ngorongoro Crater, making our way to Arusha where you will be dropped off at Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight back home.
