10 Days Special Namibia Safari : This popular 10-day safari allows you to explore many of Namibia’s essential attractions. We will visit the vast Namib Desert, renowned for its towering sand dunes and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Next, we will proceed to the delightful village of Swakopmund, journey along the Skeleton Coast, and then head inland to the breathtaking Damaraland. Ultimately, our journey will take us to Etosha National Park, renowned as one of Africa’s premier destinations for observing wildlife. The Namib Desert is considered the oldest desert on the planet, having stayed dry for a minimum of 55 million years. While they did not cause the aridity, the interaction between the Benguela upwelling and the warm interior has recently sustained and perhaps even increased this aridity. The region is described as a persistent island of dryness, encircled by a vast expanse of climatic diversity, as it lies between the ocean and the escarpment.

Day 1 : Transfer to Sossusvlei
Upon your arrival, a guide will be waiting to greet you at the airport. Once you’ve packed your belongings into the truck, we will set off for Sossusvlei. We will make regular stops during the journey to capture the stunning landscapes. We will pause for coffee in the mid-morning to enjoy the stunning views of Namibia. If time permits, we will take a moment to enjoy the renowned “famous apple pie” in Solitaire, an essential Namibian tradition. We will arrive at our resort in approximately 4 to 5 hours, just in time to witness the breathtaking sunset. As we discuss the specifics of tomorrow’s early start, we will enjoy a few drinks.
Day 2: Discover Sossusvlei
To get ready for our trip to Sossusvlei, we will wake up before the sun comes up. Following a short break for coffee or tea, we will await the opening of the park’s entrance gates. As we take in the breathtaking beauty of the sun rising above the magnificent red dunes, we will embark on a drive lasting approximately 30 minutes. For the adventurous, options abound on this day: climbing the dunes, sliding down their slopes, or enjoying a brisk walk to Dead Vlei. You will have ample opportunity to explore all the attractions surrounding Sossusvlei. We will pause during our journey to enjoy a picnic breakfast, all while appreciating the beautiful surroundings. After a busy morning filled with activities, we’ll return to the resort for lunch and some relaxation. In the evening, we will head back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3 : Transfer to Swakopmund
This morning, we have the opportunity to enjoy a relaxed breakfast, and for those who wish, there is the option to embark on an early morning balloon ride. We will move forward with care as we make our way to Swakopmund, our upcoming destination. Once again, we will stop for coffee along the way and take a moment to capture the ever-changing scenery with our cameras. To enhance your understanding of the regions we are traversing in the Namib Naukluft Area, our guide will share additional insights. Upon our late afternoon arrival, we will have the opportunity to check in before gathering for sundowner drinks and enjoying a delightful dinner at one of the town’s many excellent restaurants.
Day 4 : Transfer to Living Desert , Swakopmund and Walvis Bay
This morning, we will rise to a beautiful Namibian sunrise and enjoy some coffee before embarking on our journey. Following breakfast, you will be picked up for your Living Desert Adventure, a unique opportunity to learn about the smallest species that inhabit the desert. Following lunch, we will head to Walvis Bay to observe the multitude of water birds that inhabit the Walvis Bay Lagoon. Please ensure you return to the hotel by 1:00 pm. Upon our return to Swakopmund, we will pause for dinner at a local eatery.
Day 5: Discover Damaraland
Today, we will proceed with our exploration northward along the Skeleton Coast. Approximately a third of Namibia’s vast coastline is safeguarded by this stark and evocatively titled area, recognized as one of the world’s most unique coastal wildernesses. We will pause at one of the numerous shipwrecks along the coast for some striking photo opportunities before making our way inland to the stunning Damaraland. As we pass the Brandberg, a renowned landmark of Namibia, the Spitzkoppe will come into view in the distance. This stunning mountainous area hosts a range of desert-adapted species, such as elephants, rhinos, zebras, and lions, all of whom manage to survive and flourish in this almost arid environment. We look forward to seeing some of them; that would truly be delightful. We will reach our resort just in time to enjoy a sundowner drink while taking in the breathtaking views of this wild and beautiful area.
Day 6 : Transfer to Etosha National Park
This morning, after breakfast, we will make our way to Etosha National Park with a gentle approach. We will make a stop at Twyfelfontein along the way, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A remarkable concentration of rock art in Africa is represented by over 2,000 rock petroglyphs, believed to be around 6,000 years old. This collection predominantly features engravings of rhinos. The site showcases drawings of human and animal footprints, as well as red ochre images depicting elephants, ostriches, and giraffes. In this location, we will also observe the peculiar Welwitschia, a unique living fossil plant that originates from the Namib Desert. We will reach our lodge on the southwestern edge of Etosha late in the afternoon and get settled in. We’ll gather for some evening drinks and a delightful dinner before going over our plans for tomorrow.
Day 7-9 : Explore Etosha National Park
This morning, we will head to the entrance gate of Etosha National Park bright and early (the gates open at daybreak), where we will embark on our first game drive in our own vehicle. During our journey to Okaukuejo Resort, we will pause briefly at several waterholes, allowing us to relax by the water and stretch our legs for a bit. Your expert guide will offer you additional insights about each animal you encounter and every location you explore. We could either enjoy the whole day at the park or head back to the lodge for lunch. We could arrange a picnic lunch and enjoy it at one of the park’s designated picnic spots. We will customize our journey according to the sights.
Day 10 : Departure to Windhoek
Following an early morning game drive or a relaxed farewell meal together, we will set off for Windhoek. The capital is located a 5- to 6-hour journey to the south.
