Day 1: Arrival and Pickup
When you arrive at Windhoek Hosea Kutako International Airport, a representative from our company will be there to meet and greet you. Your incredible vacation adventure begins as we embark on a scenic drive through stunning landscapes and breathtaking mountain views of the Naukluft mountain range, leading us to the Sesriem area, where you will spend the night. The afternoon is yours to enjoy as you wish.
Day 2: Sossusvlei to Swakopmund
This morning, we rose early, before the sun had even begun to rise, to explore the breathtaking Sossusvlei dunes, renowned as the tallest sand dunes on the planet. If you’re inclined, you can reach the summit before returning to your lodge for a well-deserved nap. Be sure to bring your camera to capture the stunning views. We travel northwest to the coastal towns of Swakopmund and Walvis Bay, situated along the Skeleton Coast. We quickly make our way back to the mountain desert, having left the dunes far behind us. Prior to reaching the coastal sand dunes in the port town of Walvis Bay, we journey across the barren “Namib gravel plains” originating from the mountains, capturing a few photographs along the way. Prior to embarking on the short drive to Swakopmund, there will be an opportunity to watch the flamingos and various bird species in the Walvis Bay lagoon.
Day 3: Full Day at Swakopmund
Today, the aim is to allow everyone the opportunity to explore their individual interests. Swakopmund is a charming seaside resort featuring numerous shops, an extensive beach (though the Atlantic waters are rather cool), and an outdoor flea market. Swakopmund features the Namibian National Marine Aquarium alongside an excellent museum. Alternatively, several optional activities can be arranged. Activities available include scenic drives, fishing excursions from the beach or on a boat, quad bike excursions into the desert and over the sand dunes near Swakopmund, sand boarding, skydiving, surfing, and many more. Prior to your arrival in Swakopmund, your tour guide will discuss all available options with you and will be happy to assist in making reservations.
Day 4: Transfer to Etosha National Park
We will leave the coastal town early in the morning for Etosha National Park, which is home to four of the Big 5 (elephant, rhino, leopard, and lion), along with a vast array of game and birdlife. You will also embark on game drives in the morning and evening. While leisurely exploring Etosha National Park, we will have the opportunity to observe many of the big five at the various waterholes scattered throughout the park. You will have the opportunity to enjoy the park’s remarkable and renowned wildlife sightings.
Day 5 : Full Day at Etosha National Park
Today, you will embark on a full day of exploration through a game drive as you gradually journey towards the eastern Von Lindequist gate to exit the park. Numerous watering holes line the path, serving as gathering spots for animals to drink, each one a focal point for wildlife. Gemsbokvlakte, Olifantsbad, Nebrownii, Salvadora, and Rietfontein are remarkable stops on the journey to Halali. Be cautious of the lion pride often seen in the Nebrownii region. As you journey to your overnight stop, you can expect to encounter an abundance of wildlife and breathtakingly beautiful landscapes.
Day 6 : Departure to Windhoek
After an early morning game drive, we will enjoy breakfast before departing the park for Windhoek. The journey will take us along a good road, allowing time for a stop in Okahandja town, renowned for Namibia’s largest woodcarving market. The market serves as an excellent venue for last-minute shopping for genuine Namibian souvenirs, as the stalls are managed collaboratively by the local community.
