Day 1: Transfer to Akagera National Park and afternoon boat cruise on Lake Ihema.
On the 1st day of your safari, you will be met by your guide a representative of our tour company African Vacation Safaris, he will met you either at Kigali International Airport or at your hotel in Kigali, he will welcome you to Rwanda the land of a 1000 hills that is you will be transferred to Akagera National park, after being given to you a briefing about the 4 days safari. You will proceed with your journey with the perfect views along the way including the various attractions like the tea plantations, coffee plantations, along the way you will have a stopover and enjoy lunch. After lunch you will be transferred to Akagera national park that will offer you a lot during the 4 days safari.
Upon your arrival you will be transferred for the afternoon boat cruise on Lake Ihema in Akagera national park to where you will get to spot various wildlife like crocodiles, hippopotamuses and you will spot the diverse colourful bird species like the endangered shoebills stork, cormorants, spoonbills, African kingfishers and among others as you watch the sunset that is such incredible. After the experience you will be transferred back to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 2: Morning game drive, city tour and departure.
On the 2nd day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy your hearty breakfast. After enjoying your breakfast your safari guide will pick you and transfer you to Akagera National Park and participate in the early morning game drives and this is where you will spot the early risers like zebras, buffaloes, rhinos, impalas, elephants, lions, buffaloes, rhinos, leopards and others as they are catching prey for their morning meal, as well you will experience the best spots in the park. After the experience you will be transferred back to Kigali city for a city tour.
During the city tour, you will be fascinated in exploring the Rwanda’s capital city that shows you the vibrant city showcasing its vibrant culture, rich history and modern attractions. This is where the visitors can discover the city’s historical landmarks, such as Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre, the Presidential Palace Museum, and the Belgian monument, while also experiencing the city’s bustling markets like Kimironko Market and its thriving arts and then the crafts scene. After the experience you will enjoy your lunch from one of the restaurant’s in Kigali. After the experience you will be transferred and dropped to your place of convenience that is either at Kigali International Airport for your next flight back home or dropped to your hotel in Kigali that will make your safari come to the end.
