This experience takes 3-4 hours and after return to lodge for lunch. In the evening, you will take the sightseeing boat cruise that journeys along the shores of Ihema Lake. Dinner and overnight at Virunga Safari Lodge/Silver Back Lodge/Mountain Gorilla View Lodge. Meal plan: H/B

Day4: Rwanda Gorilla Trek-Visit the Twin Lakes

After an early breakfast, you will have a short drive to the headquarters of Volcanoes National Park for a briefing. In an effort to afford you a quality experience and at the same time avoid stressing out the apes, there is a limit to the number of tourists who can see a particular family in a day, 8. Not only does this enable the ranger guide entrusted with looking after you to answer all questions without feeling overwhelmed, it enables you to take so many pictures without any interruptions. While at it though, avoid using your flash. It irritates the gorillas, making them restless and sometimes violent. By the same token, avoid wearing clothes with bright colours especially yellow and red. Gorillas find it quite disturbing to see as it is synonymous with the colour of blood.

Then in the evening visit the twin Lakes (Burera and Ruhondo), a vibrant bird watching destination It is surrounded by rolling hills, some of which have crater lakes upon their summits that flow down, creating very scenic waterfalls with unbelievable views. The best way to see them is by experiencing a canoe ride in the lake or nature walk. There are so many places where you can have a walk or rest.
