5 Days South Africa Luxury Safari : You can witness Africa’s stunning beauty up close with this 5-day luxury safari in South Africa. When you experience true wilderness adventure, the only nighttime sounds you will hear are the distant calls of lions or hyenas. Enjoy the excitement of seeing a lone rhino or herds of elephants at the lodge’s watering hole.

The cosmopolitan Cape Town, the neighboring Winelands, the beautiful beaches of the Garden Route, and the towering peaks of the uKhahlamba-Drakensberg make South Africa one of the least popular safari destinations. Nevertheless, compared to some of its neighbors, South Africa offers a far higher ecological diversity and some genuinely exceptional places to see wildlife.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and Pick up

When you arrive, you will be picked up from O. R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg. You will travel from Johannesburg to the Makapan Valley, Limpopo’s sole cultural heritage site. It covers the 151-year history of the Ndebele, including resistance wars. As they honor the past and prepare to address the same problems that communities faced, people here are aware of the site’s significance to everyone.

Only two Stone Age sites, including the Cave of Hearths, contain artifacts from the earlier to later Stone Ages in a continuous sequence. In the middle of the 17th century, Makapan’s Valley made friends with humans. Following the site visit, you will make a lunch stop on your way to Tzaneen. On the way to Tzaneen, you will stop at the stunning Debengeni Waterfall. Tzaneen is where you will spend the night.

The Blyde River Canyon, a notable South African natural feature located in Mpumalanga and comprising the northern part of the Drakensburg escarpment, will be visited after your visit to the village. Usually, it is 25 kilometers (16 miles) long and 750 meters (2,641 feet) long. The structure of the canyon is dominated by red sandstone. The river leaves the canyon at a slightly lower elevation of 561 meters, while Mariepskop is the highest point of the canyon, rising 1,944 meters (6,378 feet) above sea level.
