Detailed Itinerary of 13-Day Botswana Wildside – Maun Departure
Day 1: Maun
On arrival in Maun, you will meet up with our African Vacation Safari Guide and drive to your lodge, situated on the banks of the Thamalakane River.
Maun is a busting frontier town and after checking in your lodge, you will enjoy a delicious lunch and spend the afternoon at relaxation at a swimming pool.

Day 2 – 4: Okavango Delta
Spend these three days exploring the magnificent Okavango Delta on an immersive exploration adventure. With our local guides you will head deep into the heart of the Okavango Delta on Mokoro (Dougout Canoes).
The Okavango Delta is a stunning inland delta in Botswana, it is a world’s largest and a vibrant ecosystem teeming with wildlife and unique features. The delta is famous known for its vast size, incredible biodiversity, and the way it dramatically changes in size throughout the year. The Delta is formed as water flows from the Angolan highlands out over the Botswanan flat Kalahari Desert Sands creating a delicate, green oasis for birds and wildlife.
With your local guide, you will explore the Delta, enjoy sightings of several wildlife species, and visit the local people and more about their lifestyle and culture.

Day 5 – 8: Moremi & Savuti
After breakfast, you will return to Main on a light flight over the Okavango Delta, this flight will reveal a different aspect of the delta.
Spend 4 days exploring Moremi and Savuti and their various habitants on game drives watching the plentiful wildlife including herds of elephants, hippos, buffaloes, lion and other game.
Moremi Game Reserve ranks as one of the leading wildlife areas of the world and in your open 4WD vehicle, head into Moremi for fantastic game viewing. Grasslands, floodplains, forest, lily lagoons and winding water channels combine to form a variety of game viewing habitats. Moving north over the sand ridge and into the Mababe depression we arrive at the Savuti Marsha.
This open grassland area attracts helds of zebras and wildebeests, which in turn attract large lion prides for which Savuti is famous for. Spend the night in Central Chobe National Park.

Day 9 – 10: Chobe National Park
Along the northern boundary of Chobe National Park flows the Chobe River, attracting some of the largest herds of elephants in Africa. In the early morning, we search for game on the floodplains of the Chobe River, the late afternoon game viewing sundowner cruise is a highlight as we see the might elephant herds returning to Chobe River to quench their thirst.

Day 11 – 12: Victoria Falls / Livingstone
Spend two nights near Livingstone Town on the banks of the Zambezi River. On these days you will enjoy a spectacular walk through tropical vegetation to the very edge of the Victoria Falls local known as “Mosi Oa Tunya” meaning the “Smoke that thunders”. Here you will have opportunities to white water raft on the might Zambezi River, bungee jump or take a light flight over the Victoria Falls (on your own expense).
