Nimali Tarangire, located on the northern boundary of Tarangire National Park, is a permanent tented camp built to resemble a lodge. It first went operational in 2015. It was built on a private concession along the scenic banks of a seasonal river in the Radilen Wildlife Management Area. The accommodations are really well-kept, and the staff is polite and helpful. Sleeping outside of the national park ensures that you don’t miss out on anything, and the camp’s calm concession provides exclusivity at a reduced rate.
The resort is located adjacent to the riverbank, surrounded by acacia and baobab trees. Guests can enjoy a unique and interesting bush experience that combines natural elements with modern design.
Each of the six nicely built tented suites has a separate veranda overlooking the Sand River. Rain showers, vanities with double sinks, writing desks with several charging points, and reading nooks are all neatly integrated into each tent.

The huge decks outside each tent provide an excellent opportunity for visitors to rest and unwind while enjoying the sights and sounds of nature. The main areas include a large lounge, a library, and a dining room in the center that overlooks the swimming pool and a wildlife-friendly waterhole.
Tarangire is one of Tanzania’s most gorgeous national parks, with lush green vegetation, especially early in the year. Large herds of elephants, prolific birdlife, and an abundance of game can all be found year-round in the Nimali concession, often just a few metres from the camp.

Your Tanzania safari itinerary must include a visit to Nimali Tarangire. To thoroughly visit the Tarangire and Randilen Wildlife Management areas, we recommend a minimum stay of two nights. TIME TO GO.
The greatest time to watch wildlife in Tarangire is from July to October, when the dry weather attracts animals to the river and swamps there. A bushier park makes it a little more difficult to find wildlife if it isn’t congregating near water sources, but even outside of this season, the wildlife can be incredibly friendly. Elephant herds are often much larger during the green season, and during the dry season, they disperse into smaller family groups.
