To start your Serengeti Safari, you will be picked up by our African Vacation Safaris representative (your driver guide for the safari) from your hotel in Zanzibar and transfer you to Abeid Amani International Airport for your flight to Arusha where your driver guide will be waiting for you. After a short briefing about the safari and what to expect, embark on a journey to Serengeti National Park, this journey takes you through the Ngorongoro Highlands and Ngorongoro crater and you enjoy en-route lunch.
Arrive in the park in late afternoon, with a short game drive you will head to your lodge for an evening of rest, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Full day in Serengeti
Start your day with early breakfast and head to the park for a full day game drive, have a morning game drive and later followed with an afternoon game drive with picnic lunch in between enjoy at one of the picnic sites in the savannah plain.
Animals in Serengeti National Park tend to be active during morning and afternoon hours, so on a full day game drive you will have an opportunity to explore various regions of the park and enjoy excellent sighting of wildlife including the Big Five – lion, leopard, buffaloes, elephants and rhinos.
With your experienced guide, you will explore the different regions of Serengeti National Park enjoying sights of several animals including lions, cheetahs, African wild dogs, leopards, gazelles, giraffes, jacks, bat-eared fox, serval, caracal, warthog, hippos, crocodiles, rhinos, elephants, waterbucks and several bird species including ostriches among others. Today, you have an option of a balloon ride over the Serengeti Plains in the morning. At sunrise, you will soar in the air over the endless plains and as you float, you will enjoy aerial views of the landscape and bird’s eye view of the animals. The balloon flight is perfect for wildlife photographers. After a one hour of adventure, you will be treated to a champagne breakfast served in the bush and the continue exploring the park.
Day 3: Fly to Arusha
Start your day with a delicious breakfast at the lodge before being drive to Arusha with en-route game drive giving you last glimpse of the Serengeti plains and its wonderful wildlife.
