Day 1: Pick up and visiting Olduvai Gorge.
On the first day of the safari, your safari guide from African Vacation Safaris, will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha or from Arusha airport. After he will welcome and introduce to you the 3 days safari. After the briefing you will begin with your journey to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way you will be rewarded with the sightings of the stunning surrounding landscapes that are eye catching, until you reach the Olduvai Gorge. The Olduvai Gorge experience in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a deeply enriching and thought-provoking journey that takes you to the very cradle of humanity. As you walk through the gorge, you will be tracing the footsteps of the earliest humans, whose fossilized remains were discovered here by the famous Leaky family, and whose legacy has reshaped our understanding of the human evolution.
The gorge itself is a breathtaking natural wonder, a 50-kilometer long chasm carved out by the relentless forces of geological time, with towering walls of rock that hold secrets of the ancient past. As you explore the site, you will be accompanied by the expert guides who will bring the history and then the significance of Olduvai to life, and offer experience into the lives of our ancient ancestors, who lived, hunted and thrived in this very same landscape. You will also experience and have a tour around the museum and get to know more about the fossils discovered at Olduvai Gorge. After visiting Olduvai Gorge you will be transferred back to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 2: Full day Ngorongoro crater tour.
On the 2nd day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and be served with a hearty breakfast, after breakfast meet your safari guide for the full day Ngorongoro crater tour. This is a full day unparalleled wildlife adventure that takes you on a thrilling journey to the floor of the world’s largest intact caldera, where an astonishing variety of wildlife roams free. As you descend into the crater, you will enter a realm of the breathtaking beauty and diversity where the Big five mammals that is lions, buffaloes, leopards, rhinos and elephants coexist with the incredible variety of the birdlife, antelopes and other creatures, all set against the stunning backdrop of the crater’s towering walls and the sparkling lakes.
You will later be served lunch in the middle of the wilderness at your preferred picnic site, and after lunch you will have more experience through the afternoon game drive with the expert guides leading the way, to explore every corner of the crater, while offering a unique opportunity to witness the incredible interaction between the predators and prey, and majesty of the African wilderness, variety of the bird species like the flamingos and many others. After the experience you will be transferred back to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 3: Departure.
On the final day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and be served with breakfast. After breakfast check out from your lodge with your packed lunch and meet your safari guide and get ready to transfer to Arusha. Along the way as you exist the park you will be fascinated with the perfect views of the wildlife as you exist the Area that includes the early risers that includes the lions, buffaloes, elephants and among many others. After you will proceed with your journey until you reach to Arusha. And once you arrive you will be dropped to your desired location that is either at the Arusha airport for your next flight or to your hotel in Arusha that will make your safari come to the end.
