Day 1: pick up from Kigoma Airport/Dar es Salaam.
On the first day of your safari, your safari guide from African Vacation Safaris will pick you from your hotel from Kigoma Airport, he will welcome you and brief you about the 3 days Tanzania chimpanzee safari tour, after the briefing you will embark on your journey. This journey takes you along the diverse variety of landscapes and cultures. As you exist Kigoma Airport, you will go on a scenic journey to Gombe Stream National Park that takes you along the shores of Lake Tanganyika, the second-deepest lake in the world. The road winds its way through the picturesque town of Kigoma, with its colourful markets and the bustling harbor, before heading south along the lake’s shoreline.
Along the way you can have the enroute lunch and proceed with your journey. The drive offers breathtaking views of the lake’s clear waters that is surrounded by the majestic mountains and the forests, with the occasional fishing village or beach adding to the charm. As you approach the park, the road becomes more rugged, but the landscape only becomes more stunning, with the forests attracting closer to the lake’s edge and the sounds of the jungle growing louder, setting the tone for an unforgettable adventure in one of Africa’s most incredible national park.
And once you arrive, you will be transferred to your lodge for relaxation and overnight stay as you prepare for tomorrow’s activity.
Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking experience.
On the 2nd day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and be served with a hearty breakfast, after breakfast you will meet your safari guide and transfer to the park for the chimpanzee tracking experience. You will get to enjoy your day with the chimpanzees. This is where you will start your day with the trip at the sunrise by boarding a dhow boat from the hotel’s private beach, for a transfer to Gombe National park.
You will be with your guide as you cruise along the shores of Lake Tanganyika to the main entrance of Gombe Stream National Park. And once you get into the park you will interact with the chimpanzees in the park, watching them doing their daily activities, watching them feed, breast feed and watching them playing and among many others. And after interacting with the chimpanzees you will be transferred back to your park where you will have lunch. After lunch you will explore the surrounding landscapes as you are relaxing and later in the evening you will be transferred back to your lodge by the boat that will make your safari come to the end.
Day 3: Departure.
On the last day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and be served with a hearty breakfast. After breakfast with your packed lunch and meet your safari guide and exist the park. Along the way you will have the stunning views of the landscape, until you get to Kigoma Airport. And once you arrive you will get your flight back to your back home or be transferred to your lodge that will make your safari come to the end.
