Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Ngorongoro Crater.
On the 1st day of the safari, your safari guide from African Vacation Safaris will pick you from your hotel in Arusha or from Arusha Airport. He will welcome you for the 5 days Ngorongoro crater and Serengeti safari, and brief you about the safari. After the briefing you will begin with your journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, along the way you will have the impressive views of the landscape until you reach at the Ngorongoro conservation area. And once you reach you enjoy lunch. After lunch you will meet your safari guide and enjoy the walking safaris, in Ngorongoro Crater this is the unique way to explore the rugged and breathtaking landscapes of this iconic destination on foot. You will enjoy the Ngorongoro Highlands, the crater rim, and then Empakaai crater these guided walking safaris allow you to immerse yourself in the stunning natural beauty of the area, with verdant forests and sparkling lakes while also encountering a diverse variety of the wildlife like Maasai giraffes, buffaloes, elephants, wildebeests as well as variety of the birdlife. After the walking safari you will be transferred to the lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater Drive.
On the 2nd day of the safari, you will get up in the morning and enjoy breakfast, after breakfast you will meet your safari guide for the Ngorongoro crater drive where you will descend 600 meters into the crater, the world’s largest intact caldera and participate in game drives as you spot the crater’s attractive animal species like the big five mammals like buffaloes, lions, elephants, leopards and rhinos and among others wildebeests, hyenas, antelopes warthogs and diverse number of the bird species. After the experience you enjoy the lunch in the wilderness at the most attractive picnic areas. And after the experience you will go for another experience where you will enjoy the stunning around Ngorongoro crater during the game drive and also observe flamingos along the shores of the alkaline lake that is located in the crater that is Lake Magadi. This makes for a thrilling and unforgettable game drive experience, and after the game drive you will return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Transfer to Serengeti national park.
On the 3rd day of the safari, wake up in the morning and take the breakfast, after breakfast you will check out from your lodge and meet your safari guide with your packed lunch and transfer to Serengeti National Park. With the charming views along the way existing Ngorongoro Conservation Area, until you reach Serengeti National Park. Once upon you arrive you will check in your lodge and be served with lunch.
After lunch you will go for the afternoon game drive, during the game drive you will have the magnificent views of the Big five that including the lions, buffaloes, leopards, rhinos and elephants and many others, as well as viewing various bird species.
During the afternoon game drives either in the central and western regions includes the Seronera valley, the Kopjes and then the Grumeti river area, all these areas are known for the high concentrations of the wildlife that makes your afternoon game drives exciting and unforgettable experience. After your game drive, you will be driven to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 4: Full day in Serengeti National Park with a hot air balloon experience.
On 4th day of the safari, meet your safari guide and be transferred for a hot air balloon in the park, this is where you will have the chance to have the stunning views of the Serengeti plains from above, this is where you will see a lot of wildlife and the colorful sunrise near the Seronera River Valley, this is where as well view the endless plains. After the hot air balloon you will enjoy the champagne breakfast in the wild leisurely. And then you will be transferred back to your lodge for relaxation and lunch. After lunch you will again proceed with the game drive in the Serengeti Plains where you will spot various animal species in the park that includes the wildebeests, zebras, lions, leopards, elands, cheetahs and others. Later you will be transferred to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 5: Departure.
The last day of the safari, get up early in the morning and enjoy the hearty breakfast. After the breakfast you will check out from your lodge with your packed lunch and meet your safari guide and depart the park. On your way to Arusha you will enjoy the short enroute game drive, this is where you have the opportunity to spot wildlife species that includes lions, leopards, rhinos, buffaloes and sighting various bird species. And later you will continue with your journey to Arusha, and you once you arrive you arrive you will be dropped either to Arusha Airport for your next flight back home or be dropped to your hotel in Arusha that will make your safari come to the end.
