Detailed Itinerary of 5-Day Tanzania Safari
Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport
On landing at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed to Arusha by your private safari guide, a representative of African Vacation Safaris. He will help you with your luggage. Then take you direct to your hotel in Arusha, where you can relax and take in the African atmosphere and the bliss of Arusha.
He will give you a briefing about the safari and what to expect. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park
After a delicious breakfast, you will embark on a 2-3 hours drive to Tarangire National Park, well known for its big groups of elephants and huge amount of baobab trees. These ancient trees can live for hundreds of years and are actually a source of water for the elephants most especially during the dry season, as they have a special technique to draw water from them.
Besides the ancient Baobab Trees, the Tarangire River is the only source of water to the park and its ecosystem during the dry season, which is why in this season in Tarangire National Park you can see large herds of elephants.
When you arrive in the park you will go on a gam drive as you head to your lodge for check-in, lunch and short rest. In the afternoon, return to the park for a more extensive game drive. Expect to see several animals including elephants, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, gazelles, wildebeests and several bird species among others.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park
Wake up to a delicious breakfast, check out and head to Lake Manyara National Park for another incredible adventure, this beautiful park lies between Tarangire National Park and Ngorongoro Crater, right along 40 meters deep Great Rift Valley.
Lake Manyara National Park boasts a variety of landscapes that attract many different animals, during the tour you will visit the lake, Lake Manyara which covers 75 percent of the park, pass through a dense rainforest with hundreds of monkeys and birds, you will also see elephants up close in the woods and the rare tree climbing lions lounging on the tree branches. In the evening you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Enjoy a delicious breakfast, check out of the lodge and drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, hosting the world famous Ngorongoro Crater – one of Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders. The crater was formed two million years as when a vast volcano erupted. The fertile lave has created a unique ecosystem, now home to the highest concentration of animals found anywhere in Africa.
Descend 600 meters deep into the crater for a full day game drive with your packed lunch boxes, once in the crater, you will be surrounded by thousands of animals such as wildebeests, lions, zebras, buffaloes and black rhinos, and the views are astounding. In the evening you will ascend the crater and head to your lodge, enjoy dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Departure – your flight home from Kilimanjaro Int. Airport
Today is the last day of your Tanzania wildlife safari, after breakfast you will be met by your guide, check out of your lodge and be driven back to Arusha where you will be dropped at the airport to catch your flight back home or to your next destination.
