You will explore the northern circuit of Tanzania visiting the Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Serengeti National Park where you will enjoy sighting of several iconic wildlife species including lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, gazelles, rhinos among others during your safari game drives.
Then fly to the tropical island of Zanzibar to soak up the sun on the white sand beaches, explore the Stone Town and dive into the history of this little ancient town.

Detailed itinerary of 10- Day Tanzania safari and Zanzibar Beach Holiday
Day 1: Transfer to Tarangire National Park
You will be met at Kilimanjaro International Airport by your African Vacation Safaris Driver/Guide and drive to Tarangire National Park which is 2 hours’ drive away. Tarangire National Park is a stunning Tanzania National Park renowned for its large herds of elephants and baobab trees dotting the landscape, the park boasts over 58 mammal species including spotted hyenas, gazelles, cheetahs, hartebeests, African Wild dogs, zebras, and lions among others.
When you arrive in the park, you will have en-route game drive to your lodge. Check in for lunch and short rest. In the afternoon, you will go for a game drive which will give you sights of different wildlife species including elephants, giraffes, cape buffaloes, wildebeests, waterbucks, hartebeests, lions, leopards and spotted hyenas among others. Later return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Full day in Tarangire
After a delicious breakfast, you will embark on a full day game drive in Tarangire National Park with your lunch boxes.
Tarangire National Park is well-known for its large elephant herds and during the game drive, you will see a variety of landscapes, from seasonal swamps to savannah. Enjoy view of the beautiful Tarangire River winding its way through the parklands, you may see lions stalking its prey and leopards relaxing and other animals. At sunset, you will drive back to your lodge to relax, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Serengeti
After breakfast, you will depart for Serengeti National Park with a drive through Ngorongoro and a stop at the Olduvai Gorge where anthropologists Louis and Mary Leakey made many significant discoveries, contributing to the theory that human life originated in Africa.
When you arrive in the park, you will have lunch at a picnic site and go for an afternoon game drive in the heart of wild Africa for sighting of lions, cheetahs, leopards, wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, giraffes, African wild dogs among others as they freely graze. After sunset, head to your lodge for check-in, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer to Ngorongoro
Wake up early for breakfast with your packed lunch and go for a morning in Serengeti plains, giving you an opportunity to see early risers including lions, leopards, cheetahs and African wild dogs as they return to their dens from their hunting sprees.
Later depart for Ngorongoro Conservation Area with en-route lunch. Arrive in Ngorongoro in the evening, head to your lodge situated on the crater rim for check in, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Full Day Ngorongoro Crater Tour
Wake up early for breakfast and head to Ngorongoro, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater floor for a full day game drive with your packed lunch boxes. The crater is home to a huge concentration of wildlife and during the game drive, you will see some of Africa’s iconic wildlife species including lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, gazelles, wildebeests, elands, elephants and large flocks of flamingoes on Lake Magadi in the corner of the crater floor.
In the evening ascend the crater floor and return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Transfer to Arusha then transfer to Zanzibar
After breakfast depart for Arusha where your guide will drop you off at Arusha Airport for your flight to Zanzibar. On landing at Zanzibar Airport, you will be welcomed by our driver at transfer you to your beach resort for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7-9: Zanzibar Beaches
These three days are spent discovering the white sandy beaches, crystal clear turquoise waters and vibrant coral reefs of Zanzibar. If you are into culture, then head to Stone Town and dive into the history of this fascinating ancient town. While here, you will visit several historical sites as you get lost in its maze of streets, sites to visit include The Old Fort, Christ Church Cathedral, Old Dispensary, House of Wonders, Freddie Mercury Museum and the People’s Palace Museum among others.

Day 10: Departure
Depending on your flight time, you can relax on the beach or explore the island a little bit more. Our driver will pick you up and drive you to the airport in time for your departure flight back home, bringing your Tanzania wildlife and beach holiday and our services to an end.
