Detailed itinerary of 10 days Tanzania safari
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Serengeti National Park
You will be picked up by our safari guide at Kilimanjaro International Airport upon arrival and transferred to Serengeti National Park, arrive in time for lunch at your lodge after check in. In the afternoon, go for a game drive on which you will see several animals including herds of zebras, antelopes, wildebeests and predators such as leopards, cheetahs and lions among others. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Full day in Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you go for a full day game drive in Serengeti National Park giving you a chance to explore its vast ecosystem and its rich wildlife. Annually, the Great Migration involving over 1.4 million wildebeests and almost 300,000 Thomson’s gazelles and zebras are seen in Serengeti plains as part of their annual migration through the Serengeti Mara Ecosystem.
Serengeti is also home to over 3 million larger mammals including buffaloes, lions, leopards, elephants, wildebeests, gazelles, cheetahs and among others which you will see during the full day game drives.

Day 3: Transfer to Ngorongoro
After breakfast, depart for Ngorongoro Conservation Area, home to the largest intact caldera in the world. You will have a stop at the view point to enjoy views of the Ngorongoro Crater from above, then descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife which include herds of wildebeests, lions, hyenas, cheetahs, elusive leopard, zebras, buffaloes, elands, warthogs, hippos and giant African elephants.
We will also visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline in the southwestern corner of the crater. Here you will see thousands of flamingoes, hippos and other water birds.

Day 4: Transfer to Mount Kilimanjaro
Depart for Mount Kilimanjaro and proceed to Arusha where you will have lunch and proceed to Mount Kilimanjaro, arrive in the afternoon and spend the rest of the day at rest as you prepare for the next day’s hiking adventure.

Day 5: Hike Mount Kilimanjaro
Today, you will enjoy a hike on Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa. Though it is impossible to climb to its peak in one day, you will hike the initial part of the well-known Marangu Route. During your hike through the dense rainforest, you can see and hear the lively birdlife and colobus monkeys.
The day hike begins at 6:30 am and ends at 7:00pm. After briefing and registration at the Marangu Gate, start your hike, the route approaches the mountain from the southeastern part. Trek through lower altitudes and enjoy a picnic lunch en-route to Mandara Hut. After reach Mandara Hut, you will be waiting to take you back to your hotel, providing relaxing music to help you unwind and shake off any fatigue from day’s activities.

Day 6: Transfer to Dar es Salaam
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Arusha Airport for a charter flight to Dar es Salaam. On landing you will be warmly welcomed by our guide and transfer to your hotel for an evening of rest, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Transfer to Zanzibar
After breakfast, you be transferred to the ferry landing point for a cruise to Zanzibar which takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. On arrival, meet and greet and transfer to your hotel in Stone Town for relaxation. In the afternoon you will go for a Stone Town Tour on which you will be immersed in the rich history of this town as you explore several iconic landmarks with insightful guides. End the day with a culinary adventure at Foradhani Market, sampling Zanzibar’s famous street dishes.

Day 8-9: Zanzibar
