Detailed itinerary of 8 Day Unforgettable Luxury Tanzania Safari with Zanzibar
Day 1: Transfer to Manyara National Park
You will be picked from Kilimanjaro International Airport by a African Vacation Safaris staff – your driver – guide, brief you about the safari and afterwards, you will embark on a journey to Lake Manyara National Park, a small beautiful Tanzania Park famous for hosting the rare tree climbing lions.
On arrival in the park, you will go for a game drive with picnic lunch enjoyed at one of the picnic sites in the park. Expect to see a variety of animals including tree climbing lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, monkeys and several bird species. Later in the day, you will head to your lodge for check-in, have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Transfer to Serengeti
After breakfast, we proceed to Serengeti National Park, the most iconic and popular wildlife destination on the continent well known for its health concentration of resident wildlife particularly the Big Five, the five most prized trophies taken by hunters – lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants and rhinos.
The journey takes you through the Ngorongoro Highlands and along the way, you will have a stop at the Olduvai Gorge where you will see several excavations and display of human fossils discovered by Dr. Leakey and his wife displayed a Olduvai Gorge Museum. Continue to Serengeti with en-route lunch, when you arrive in the park you will go for a game drive as you head to your lodge for check-in and dinner.

Day 3: Full Day in Serengeti
After breakfast, well will leave for Serengeti National Park with packed lunch boxes for a full day game drive in the Central Serengeti. The region hosts a huge concentration of wildlife including the all the Big Five and the Great Wildebeest Migration, if you visit in the right time you will see over 1.5 million wildebeests and thousands of zebras and gazelles on their annual journey in search for water and green pastures.
Expect to see a wide range of animals including lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, gazelles, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos, zebras, gazelles, wildebeests, and several colorful bird species. Enjoy picnic lunch and continue exploring the park till evening, then return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast, we drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. With your packed lunch boxes, descend to the crater floor for a game drives, Ngorongoro Crater is the largest intact caldera in the world, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to a huge concentration of wildlife of over 20,000 mammals living on the crater floor, including about 20 black rhinoceros, making it the best place in Tanzania to see these endangered creatures.
During the game drive you will see several animals including cheetahs, lions, hyenas, jackals, servals, bat-eared foxes and leopards among others. Later ascend to the crater rim, and head to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Transfer to Arusha Then Fly To Zanzibar
After breakfast, we head back to Arusha City. Have lunch at the hotel them head to Arusha Airport for a flight to Zanzibar Island. On arrival, you will be welcomed by our driver and be transferred to your hotel in Stone. Spend the rest of the day at rest, have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Stone Town, Prison Island Then Spice Tour
After breakfast, you will go on a guided tour of Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Experience reliving in the footsteps of Arab Sultans on Zanzibar Island and ponder on the interesting historical sites and labyrinths. See the intricately made Zanzibar doors famous for their unique architectural tradition.
After lunch, we proceed to a tour of the countryside visiting the Spice Plantations. You will be welcomed by the rich aroma of species such as nutmeg and cinnamon. Then continue on a drive to Matemwe Beach.

There are several to do including scuba diving, snorkeling, dolphin tours and kiteboarding. Alternatively you can decided to just relax on the swimming or in a hammock reading a book or enjoying cocktail drinks.
