Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Ngorongoro Crater.
On the 1st day of the safari, your safari guide from African Vacation Safaris will pick you from your hotel in Arusha or from Arusha Airport. He will welcome you for the 9 days Ngorongoro, Tarangire and Zanzibar safari, and brief you about the safari. After the briefing you will begin with your journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, along the way you will have the impressive views of the landscape until you reach at the Ngorongoro conservation area. And once you reach you enjoy lunch. After lunch you will meet your safari guide and enjoy the walking safaris, in Ngorongoro Crater this is the unique way to explore the rugged and breathtaking landscapes of this iconic destination on foot. You will enjoy the Ngorongoro Highlands, the crater rim, and then Empakaai crater these guided walking safaris allow you to immerse yourself in the stunning natural beauty of the area, with verdant forests and sparkling lakes while also encountering a diverse variety of the wildlife like Maasai giraffes, buffaloes, elephants, wildebeests as well as variety of the birdlife. Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater Drive.
On the 2nd day of the safari, you will get up in the morning and enjoy breakfast, after breakfast you will meet your safari guide for the Ngorongoro crater drive where you will descend 600 meters into the crater, the world’s largest intact caldera and participate in game drives as you spot the crater’s attractive animal species like the big five mammals like buffaloes, lions, elephants, leopards and rhinos and among others wildebeests, hyenas, antelopes warthogs and diverse number of the bird species.
After the experience you enjoy the lunch in the wilderness at the most attractive picnic areas. And after the experience you will go for another experience where you will enjoy the stunning around Ngorongoro crater during the game drive and also observe flamingos along the shores of the alkaline lake that is located in the crater that is Lake Magadi. This makes for a thrilling and unforgettable game drive experience, and after the game drive you will return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Transfer to Tarangire National park.
On the 3rd day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and take breakfast, after breakfast you will out from your lodge and meet your safari guide and transfer to Tarangire National Park the destination of the large herds of elephants and baobab trees during your impressive safari, the park is also a home of over 600 bird species that some can be observed during the safari. Along the way you will be impressed by the magnificent landscape, and once you arrive Tarangire you will check in your lodge and enjoy lunch. After lunch, you will participate in the afternoon game drive to where you will spot various wildlife like buffaloes, waterbucks, elephants, elands, leopards, giraffes, waterbucks, and among many others. After the experience you will be transferred back to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 4: Full day safari experience in Tarangire National Park.
On the 4th day, of your safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast. After breakfast you will meet your safari guide and go for the morning game drive and this is where you will spot diverse early risers like the cheetahs, waterbucks, hartebeests, elephants, gazelles and among many others minus forgetting the bird species in the backdrop of the wonderful landscape. After the experience you will be transferred to your lodge for lunch.
After lunch you will go for more experience during the afternoon game drive this is where you will spot more wildlife that you missed during the morning game drive, around Tarangire national park through using the best spots to search for more wildlife in the beautiful scenery. After the experience you will return back to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 5: Transfer to Arusha and flight to Zanzibar.
On the 5th day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast, after breakfast you will check out from your lodge and meet your safari guide and prepare to get back to Arusha and then fly to Zanzibar. As you exist Tarangire National Park you will spot the early risers in the park that is such rewarding. And on arrival at the airport in Zanzibar you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel and check in, and relax from your hotel and later be served with dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Stone town, Prison island tour and spice tour.
On the 6th day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy your hearty breakfast, later after breakfast you will meet your safari guide and get the opportunity to discover one of the island’s most historically, culturally, and architecturally attractive areas with the past time history.
You will start your day with Stone Town, this is where you will learn about Zanzibar’s former role in the worldwide slave trade and explore the ancient slave market. You will also explore the neighboring new market where you will grab yourself fresh fruits, and many others. As well you will visit museums like Peace memorial museum, the House of Wonder and Old Arab Fort, Palace Museum and Livingstone House and among others. After exploring the stone town will be transferred to the prison island tour to where you will see centuries-old tortoise and among others. And after you will transferred for lunch.
After lunch you will be transferred and experience the spice tour. During the tour you will learn about and sample the sweet tropical fruits and spies that are grown on the farms, not only serving as the food these spices are also used as the ornaments and medicines that are worth to be explored. You will also explore both the state-owned and privately-owned plantations. After the experience you will be transferred to your resort for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 7: Boat ride and explore Menai bay.
On the 7th day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast, after breakfast you will get ready for the day’s safari starting with a boat ride on a traditional dhow and during the activity you will explore and observe the dolphins in the water, and this is where you will experience snorkeling, swimming, sunbathing on one of the islands as you enjoy seeing the coral reef and then the marine life. You will enjoy lunch of the mouthwatering seafood’s as you relax and sunbathe. After the experience you will returned back to your resort for dinner, and overnight stay.
Day 8: Relaxing at your resort.
On the 8th day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast. After taking breakfast, you will enjoy your hearty breakfast, this is the day that you will spent the day relaxing at your resort either swimming at the pool, or relaxing as you are reading your novel.
