Detailed itinerary.
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Tarangire National Park.
On the 1st day of the 9 days Northern Tanzania and Zanzibar safari, your safari guide from African Vacation Safaris will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha or from Arusha Airport, he will welcome you and brief you about the7 days Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro safari. After you will start on your journey to Tarangire National Park that is known as the destination for the numerous animal species, various bird species that are over 500 bird species. Along the way you will have the impressive views of the landscapes, until you reach the park. Once you reach the park you will check in the lodge, you will be served with lunch.
After lunch you will proceed for the afternoon game drive to explore the diverse parts of the park.The park is one of the best places to do an afternoon game drive in the park’s northern region, where the Tarangire River flows that attracts a wide variety of animals like the elephants, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras and among many others. You will as well as explore the Silale swamp, this is a lush and verdant area that’s home to a wide variety of the birdlife and wide range of the animal species like buffaloes, elephants, and other large mammals as you are enjoying the stunning views of the surrounding landscape and are often frequented by leopards, lions and other predators. After the experience you will be transferred to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 2: Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park.
On the 2nd day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy a hearty breakfast. After breakfast you will check out from your lodge and meet your safari guide and prepare to depart to Lake Manyara National Park the home for thousands of the pink flamingos, tree climbing lions. Along the way existing from your lodge you will have the enroute game drive to where you will spot the early risers like lions, elephants, giraffes and among others. You will embark on your journey to Lake Manyara national park, you will have the magnificent views of the landscape and many others. And once you arrive, you will check in your lodge and be served with lunch. After lunch you will meet your safari guide and go for the afternoon game drive, during the game drive you will spot the tree-climbing lions that can be spotted lazing in the branches of the acacia trees, as well you will explore the lake’s shoreline the forested areas and among others, this is where you will spot diverse animal species like elephants, hippos, giraffes and a variety of the antelopes like impalas, wildebeests, and zebras and among others and various over 400 bird species like the pink flamingos, pelicans, eagles and among others. After the experience you will be transferred back to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 3: Morning game drive and transfer to Serengeti National Park.
On the 3rd day of the 7 days safari, you will get up early in the morning and be served with a hearty breakfast, check out from your lodge, with your packed lunch and meet your safari guide and go experience the morning game drive. During the morning game drive you will look out for the various wildlife and bird species in the savannah plains that includes the elephants, lions, impalas, elands, giraffes, and other large mammals and the park’s many baobab tress, which provide shade and shelter for the animals and offer the stunning photographic opportunities especially during the sunrise in the early morning.
After the experience you will proceed to Serengeti National Park which is the oldest national park in Tanzania, with the perfect views along the way. And once you arrive the park you will check in your lodge and be served with lunch before the afternoon game drives. After lunch, you will go for the afternoon game drive, to where you will enjoy sighting the massive numbers of the wildlife of the park, and have the opportunity to explore the parks endless plains especially in the Western corridor where the Grumeti River flows, thus attracting a wide variety of the animal species like the elephants, wildebeests, zebras, elephants and others. The river’s banks and the surrounding woodlands are particularly good spots to see the wildlife. After the experience you will be transferred back to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 4: Full day experience in Serengeti National Park.
On the 4th day of the 7 days safari, get up early in the morning and enjoy the delicious breakfast, with your packed lunch you will meet your safari guide and go to the park for the full day experience. This day offers you unforgettable adventure that allows you to immerse yourself in the park’s stunning landscapes and the incredible wildlife, and explore many of the hidden secret places. During the morning you will watch the sun rise over the endless plains and spotting the early risers such as lions, hyenas, leopards and others as they start their day, as the morning wears on, you will head to the Seronera valley, in the center of Serengeti where you will spot the big five mammals that includes the lions, buffaloes, rhinos, leopard and elephants roam and the grasslands provide a habitat for the incredible variety of wildlife. After the experience you will go for your picnic lunch.
After the picnic lunch, you will continues your exploration of the park visiting the kopjes, as series of the rocky outcrops that offer stunning views of the surrounding plans, and the Retima Hippo pool, where you can watch the hippos wallowing in the shallow waters, before ending the day with the sunset game drive. After the experience you will be transferred back to your lodge for dinner, relaxation an overnight stay.
Day 5: Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
On the 5th day of the safari, get up early in the morning and enjoy your breakfast. After breakfast, together with your packed lunch meet your safari guide and get ready to transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area for more wildlife experience. As you exist the lodge you will have the perfect morning views of the various early risers including the lions, buffaloes, elephants and among others, with the beautiful views along the way. You can have the chance to experience the Maasai traditional life on the way to the crater, where the tourists can explore a Maasai village, learn about their customs and way of life, and witness their vibrant music and dance performances. And once you arrive the area, you will be transferred to your lodge and check in and be served with lunch. Day 6: Transfer to Zanzibar.
On the 6th day of the safari, get up early in the morning and be served with breakfast, after breakfast, check out from your lodge and you will meet your safari guide and get ready to transfer to Zanzibar. You will be transferred to the Airport and once you arrive you will be picked by a hotel specialist who will drive you to your booked resort. And once you arrive, you will check in your resort enjoy your lunch. After lunch, you will relax at your resort either you can go swimming or simply sit at balcony and enjoy the cool atmosphere. Later you will served with dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 7: Spice tour and Prison Island.
On the 7th day of the safari, get up early in the morning and enjoy your breakfast. After breakfast, meet your safari guide and transfer for the spice tour and Prison Island experience. The spice tour and Prison Island offers you the best experience that takes you into the island’s rich history, vibrant, culture landscape. Day 9: Airport Transfer.
