Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Tarangire National Park
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly greeted by your African Vacation Safaris representative and your driver guide, and transfer to Tarangire National Park, where you will embark on a thrilling game drive while enjoying your picnic lunch en route. In the evening, you will head to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Situated 3 hours from Arusha, Tarangire National Park is a safari gem in Northern Tanzania Circuit, renowned for its elephant migration, exceptional birding opportunities and serene authentic safari experience. The park is home to a variety of wildlife including large herds of elephants, buffaloes, zebras, gazelles, wildebeests, cheetahs, lions and several bird species which you will see during the game drive.

Drive through the different regions of Tarangire National Park, from the lush riverbanks to the open plains. Day 3: Transfer to Lake Manyara
After enjoying breakfast, embark on a short drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a thrilling game viewing experience. Situated between Lake Manyara and the Great Rift Valley, Lake Manyara National Park showcases a remarkable variety of terrain, diverse plant life and an abundance of wildlife including the rare tree climbing lions.
During the game drive, you will visit the alkaline Lake Manyara a birder’s paradise hosting over 400 bird species including flocks of flamingoes seen on the shores of the lake. Day 4: Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast, you will drive from Lake Manyara National Park to the Ngorongoro Crater. When you first lay your eyes on Ngorongoro Crater, it looks like a world forgotten. Tucked in by the steep volcanic walls is a pristine wilderness including sweeping savannahs, pockets of acacia woodland, and glistening lakes and swamps.
Ngorongoro Crater was formed about three millions year ago when a large volcano exploded and collapsed in on itself. The drive down into the crater is an adventure of its own and when you reach the crater floor, you will quickly find yourself surrounded by the large number of wildebeests, zebras, gazelles and more than 500 bird species. The crater also offer the best chance of seeing the endangered black rhinos in the open grasslands.
Enjoy picnic lunch and continue exploring the crater till evening, ascend the crater and head to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
