The lodge is built on Rwakobo Rock, a stunning, picturesque outcrop surrounded by an extension of savannah environment.

Rwakobo Rock is located 1.5 kilometers from Lake Mburo National Park’s Nshara gate; traveling to the lodge is an adventure in and of itself, as you will witness herds of Ankole cattle grazing and wandering in Nshara Ranch, a government-owned ranch. Because of its proximity to Lake Mburo National Park, Rwakobo Rock Lodge is an ideal place to stay while on safari.

Rwakobo Rock Lodge offers accommodation in the shape of 8 thatched huts that were built and decorated in an African style and filled with African décor, providing tourists with a wonderful characteristic African environment. The cottages are roomy, with comfy wooden beds and clean bed linen. Solar lighting illuminates the cottages, which include en-suite bathrooms with flash toilets and solar heaters for hot running shower water. For solitude and to allow visitors to appreciate the picturesque views of the park, cottages were built around the hill with the rocky ledges.

Rwakobo Rock Lodge includes the recently created Horn Bill House, which is a thatched building with self-contained rooms excellent for family and group visits. Hornbill Home has five rooms available for visitors, each with an en-suite bathroom. The rooms are twin rooms, double rooms, single rooms, and family cottages.

Rwakobo Lodge also provides camping for budget tourists in its leisurely safari tents; nonetheless, for wild adventure enthusiasts, camping is the finest alternative.

Rwakobo Rock Lodge is located 1.5 kilometers from the Nshara gate of Lake Mburo National Park, roughly 228.3 kilometers from Kampala, Uganda’s capital city and the starting point for most safaris in Uganda. The travel time is expected to be 4-5 hours. The lodge is around 8 kilometers from the major route that leads to Lake Mburo National Park.
