Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your African Vacation Safaris Driver – guide, after a short briefing about what to expect on this safari you will embark on a journey to Murchison Falls National Park with a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you will track the endangered rhinos on foot.
Continue to Masindi where you will enjoy lunch and proceed to the park, when you arrive you will head to the top of Murchison Falls where you will enjoy a beautiful sight of River Nile squeezing through a narrow gorge to form the most powerful falls in the world. Head to your lodge for check, have dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Morning game drive and transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
Wake up early and head to the park for an early morning game drive giving you an opportunity to see early risers such as lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, and other animals inhabiting in Murchison Falls National Park. Return to your lodge for a full breakfast, then check out and depart for Kibale Forest National Park. Along the way you enjoy scenic views of the changing landscape of the countryside of Uganda and enjoy en-route lunch, arrive in Kibale Forest National Park is late afternoon, check in at your for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest
Wake up early for breakfast, meet your driver-guide and head to Kibale Forest National Park for an exciting chimpanzee trekking. Join other visitors at the park headquarters for briefing about chimpanzees and the right way to behave while in the forest as well as their presence.
With armed rangers and guide, head into the forest to search for chimpanzees. Also expect to see other primates such as red-tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys among others. The trek lasts the whole morning and when you locate the chimpanzees, you are allowed to spend 1 hour in the presence watching them play, feed and groom each other.
Return to your lodge lunch and a short rest, and later go for a guided walk in Bigodi Village where you will visit the swamp and see its rich diversity of birds, butterflies and rare plant species. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park for Afternoon Boat Cruise
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast, then depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park. Along the way you will enjoy magnificent views of the crater lakes then continue to the park arriving in time for lunch at your lodge after check-in.
In the afternoon, you will go for a boat cruise on Kazinga Channel, a natural water way connecting Lake George to Lake Edward and home to one of the high concentrations of hippos in Africa. As you glide on the calm waters, expect to see several animals including herds of elephants and buffaloes along the banks of the channel drinking water, hippos and crocodiles playing in the waters and several water birds including crested cranes and herons among others.

Day 5: Morning game drive and transfer to Bwindi
Have an early breakfast and head to the Kasenyi plains for a rewarding morning game drive, this region is a breeding ground for Uganda kobs that attract predators such as lions, leopards and hyenas. You may be lucky to spot some lions and leopards hunting, other animals you will see include elephants, buffaloes, hippos, waterbucks, topis, and warthog among others.
Return to your lodge for lunch, then depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with a drive through the Ishasha Sector where you will get a chance to see the rare tree climbing lions lounging on fig tree branches. Arrive in the park in the evening, check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Gorilla trekking
Have early breakfast, then head to the park headquarters with your packed lunch for briefing. A senior ranger guide will take you through rules and regulations to follow while in the impenetrable forests of Bwindi. In groups of 8 people you will be assigned a gorilla family to trek, then head into the forest looking for mountain gorillas. The trek takes approximately 2 hours to 6 hours or more depending on the movement of the gorillas and where they spent their previous night, when you locate the gorillas you are allowed to spend only one hour in the presence of the gorillas watching them play, feed and groom under a watchful gaze of the dominant silverback.
Head back to your lodge for an afternoon rest, alternatively you can go for a cultural experience in the Batwa village where you will be entertained by local dances and drama, interact with the elders and visit a native doctor among other activities giving you an insight into the life of these pygmies.

Day 7: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast, check out of the lodge and head to the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi, the deepest lake in Uganda and the second deepest in Africa. Along the journey you will enjoy beautiful views of the forested hills and the locals going on with their life.
On arrival you will check in your lodge for lunch and in the afternoon, you will go for a boat cruise on exploring the calm waters of lake and visiting some of the beautiful islands in the lake such as the punishment island learning more about their interesting stories. You can swim in the bilharzia free waters of the lake. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Transfer to Ruhengeri
After breakfast, depart for Ruhengeri in Rwanda with border crossing at Cyankia Border, after clearing with the immigration authorities you will continue your journey to Ruhengeri with en-route lunch. When you arrive in this beautiful town of Rwanda on the slopes of Virunga Volcanoes, check in the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9,10: Akagera National Park
Spend these two days in Akagera National Park, the only savannah national park in Rwanda and home the big five.
After breakfast at your lodge in Ruhengeri, you will head to Akagera National Park which is a drive of approximately 4 hours away. During your safari experience in Akagera, you will enjoy game drives in the savannah plains on which you will see several animals including lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, elephants, rhinos, zebras, topis, spotted hyenas, giraffes, hyenas, crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants and several bird species among others.
In the afternoon you will go for a boat trip on Lake Ihema, providing you opportunities to spot crocodiles, hippos and other animals coming to bath or drink from the lake. Lookout for the elusive Sitatunga (the swamp antelope) and waterbucks.

Day 11: Transfer to Nairobi
After breakfast, depart Akagera National Park for Kigali City where you will be dropped off at Kigali International Airport after lunch for your flight to Nairobi. Day 12: Transfer to Lake Naivasha
After breakfast, you will meet your guide and drive to Lake Naivasha which is a drive of approximately 2 hours. When you arrive on this beautiful lake, you will go on a boat cruise with your packed lunch boxes. The boat cruise takes you to Crescent Island where you will have a guided nature walk next to zebras, giraffes, wildebeests, waterbucks, antelopes and various bird species.
Enjoy picnic lunch and continue exploring the sanctuary till sunset, head to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 13: Transfer to Lake Nakuru
After breakfast, proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park for a game viewing experience. When you arrive in the park you will embark on a game drive in the park as you head to your lodge for check-in and lunch.
In the afternoon you will return to you the park for an extensive game drive. Expect to see a variety of wildlife including the rare Rothschild giraffes, herds of buffaloes, black and white rhinos, zebras, gazelles among others. You will also visit the beautiful Lake Nakuru for amazing sightings of various bird species including flocks of flamingoes and other water birds such as pelicans among others. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 14: Transfer to Maasai Mara
Enjoy breakfast and depart for Maasai Mara National Reserve which is a drive of about 4 hours away, when you arrive in the reserve you will go for a game drive as you head to your lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon you will return to the reserve for a game drive exploring the endless plains dotted with acacia trees and enjoy sighting of several animals including lions, buffaloes, cheetahs, leopards, zebras among others. Return to your lodge for a freshly prepared dinner and overnight stay.

Day 15 &16: Maasai Mara
These two days are dedicated to exploring Maasai Mara National Reserve. The itinerary is flexible and you can discuss with your guide and plan the day’ schedule. You can have a relaxed breakfast and depart for a full day game drive with packed lunch, return to the lodge in late afternoon around 6:00 Am. Or you can leave at 06:00 Am on an early morning game drive (the best time to see animals and offers an excellent chance to witness a hunt/kill). Later return to your lodge for breakfast, relax and depart for an afternoon game drive with a packed lunch which you will enjoy at a picnic spot. Continue with a game drive till evening. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 17: Transfer to Serengeti
After breakfast, you will check out of your lodge and depart for Serengeti National Park with border crossing at Isebania Border. After clearing all the formalities with the border authority, change into our Tanzania vehicles and continue to Serengeti with en-route lunch.
Arrive in the later afternoon and with en-route game drive, head to your lodge for check in, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 18: Full day in Serengeti
Enjoy full day game drive in Serengeti’s endless savannah plains, explore the different regions and see various animals including the Big Five – lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, rhinos and elephants and other animals such as warthogs, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, African wild dogs and observe a hunter-prey action.
Enjoy picnic lunch set at one of the picnic sites in the park and continue with the game drive till evening. Return to your lodge at sunset, have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 19: Transfer to Ngorongoro conservation area for Olduvai Gorge and Maasai Bomas
After breakfast, check out and embark on an en-route game drive as you head to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Have en-route visit to the Olduvai Gorge, one of the most important historical sites on earth and is part of the Great Rift Valley. The Gorge was made famous by Dr. Louis and his wife Mary Leakey who are both paleoanthropologists who conducted many digs here in the mid-20th century.
You will also visit the museum showcasing remains discovered in the area. Continue to the crater rim where you will check in at your lodge for lunch and rest. Later in the day, you will go for a guided walk and enjoy a close encounter with animals including zebras, giraffes, and elands and see several bird species. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 20: Full day in Ngorongoro conservation area for crater experience
Enjoy breakfast and depart for Ngorongoro Crater where you will have a full day of exploring the magical Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest and intact caldera. Descend 600 m into the crater floor with your packed lunch boxes.

Expect to see abundant wildlife including lions, leopards, herds of elephants, cape buffaloes, gazelles, towering giraffes, rhinos, wildebeests, gazelles, cheetahs, African wild dogs among others. You will also visit Lake Magadi found in the corner of the crater where you will see flocks of flamingoes and other water birds including pelicans among others. Day 20: Transfer to Lake Manyara
Start your day with a delicious breakfast and have a scenic drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a small but beautiful park packed with biodiversity and famous for its tree-climbing lions. During the game drive, lookout for elephants, hippos, baboons and a flocks flamingoes and other water birds on the shores of Lake Manyara.
You will enjoy picnic lunch and continue exploring this beautiful park till evening. Later return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
