Uganda is often called the ‘’Pearl of Africa’’ because of its incredible diversity. In just 10 days, you can trek through misty rainforests, cruise past hippos on tropic rivers and then spot lions on the open savanna. This classic itinerary is designed to give you the most comprehensive wildlife experience in East Africa, moving from the source of the Nile to the home of the mountain gorillas.
Day 1: Arrival.
Our company representative will welcome you to Uganda from Entebbe International Airport. He will brief you about the safari and then transfer you to your hotel in Entebbe for relaxation dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park.
After breakfast, you will transfer to Murchison falls, through the scenic drive to northwest, passing by the famous Luwero triangle, and then proceed to Masindi through Ziwa Rhino Project. You will transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking. You will have en-route lunch and then proceed to Murchison falls with hiking the top of the falls. Later transfer to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 3: Morning game drive and Boat cruise in Murchison falls national park.
After breakfast you will head for the morning game drive around the northern banks of the river Nile, to spot various elephants, lions, giraffes, hartebeests and various bird species. After you will go for lunch. After lunch you will go for the boat ride. You will go for the bottom of the falls and you will see how the water forces itself out of the rocks, this is where you spot hippos, and other animals along the river banks drinking water. Transfer to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park.
After breakfast, check out from your lodge and then transfer to Kibale national park. You will have the scenic drive to the park with sighting the local homesteads, local farms along the Albertine rift escarpment with the en-route lunch. After lunch you will proceed with journey with optional visiting Amabera Ga Nyina Mwiru, once you arrive your lodge you check in your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking and visiting the Bigodi swamp in Kibale Forest national park.
Take breakfast head to headquarters for briefing. You will enter the jungle to search for the chimpanzee, the game rangers know where to find the chimpanzees easily after finding the chimpanzees spend one hour with them. Return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch head to Bigodi swamp which is well famous for best birdwatching experience. Later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
After breakfast, check out from your lodge and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive takes you through the south passing the crater lake area, you will be viewing beautiful landscape and rolling hills. You will spot various animal species from the road from Queen Elizabeth National Park. Later check in your lodge for dinner relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 7: Morning game drive and Boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth national park.
Take breakfast and after go for the game drive and expect to see buffaloes, lions and among others and spotting various bird species. After head to the lodge for lunch, after you will go for exciting boat cruise along the Kazinga channel, and spot a lot of animals during boat ride like hippos, buffaloes, and elephant’s drinking water. End the day back to the lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Check out from the lodge after breakfast and then transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park for gorilla trekking. You will pass through Ishasha sector to spot the tree climbing lions and other wildlife. Proceed with your journey with en-route lunch, later drive until you reach your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 9: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable national park.
After breakfast, report to the park headquarters for briefing from the game rangers. You should carry packed lunch from lodge, enough drinking water and trekking equipment’s. Enter the jungle and the trekking will start. After finding the gorilla family will spend one hour with the gorillas and then return to the lodge for relaxation, later dinner and overnight stay.
Day 10: Departure.
You will enjoy relaxed breakfast and check out and your driver will be waiting to transfer back to Kampala. You will have stopover from Mbarara town for lunch and then proceed to Uganda equator for photo shots. You will arrive to Kampala and your driver will drop you to the hotel in Entebbe or Entebbe International Airport to catch up with your flight back home.
