Day 1: Transfer to Kidepo valley national park for the afternoon game drive.
On the 1st day of the safari, you will be transferred to Kidepo Valley National Park by a flight before mid-day this is a two hour flight. And once you arrive the park, your safari guide will transfer you to your lodge and check in you lodge and you will be served with lunch. After lunch you will head to the park and go for the afternoon game drive. This is a thrilling experience that takes you through the park’s stunning landscapes in search of the incredible wildlife.
This is where you will drive through the savannas and valleys, where you will spot the variety of wildlife including animal species like leopards, elephants, giraffes, antelopes and various bird species, amidst the breathtaking scenery of the Narus Valley and the distant views of the Morungole Mountains, this is the period that you will take the perfect pictures during the experience. After the experience you will be transferred to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 2: Morning game drive and IK Community experience.
On the 2nd day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy your breakfast. After breakfast, you will meet your safari guide and go for the morning game drive in the park to catch the sightings of the early risers. This is a breathtaking experience that takes you through the park’s stunning scenes at dawn. This is where you will spot the various wildlife that you missed during the previous game drive after the experience you will be transferred back to your lodge for lunch. After lunch you will go for the IK Community experience.
This is a unique and enriching cultural encounter. The IK people, also known as the Teuso or Ng’ik, are an indigenous tribe that has lived in the mountains of Kidepo for centuries. Visiting their community provides a fascinating glimpse into their traditional way of life, including their customs, rituals, and then daily practices. You will have the opportunity to interact with the IK people, learn about their history and culture, and support their community development projects, making for a memorable and authentic cultural experience and among others. After the experience you will be transferred back to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 3: Guided nature walk/morning game drive and Departure.
On the last day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy delicious breakfast. After taking your breakfast, you will meet your safari guide and go for the guided nature walks, in Kuekinyonga Trail in kideke, Oropoi and Apoka area in Kidepo Valley National Park is an immersive experience that allows you to connect with the park’s stunning natural beauty. The experience can be led by an expert guide, you will explore the park’s diverse habitats, including the savannahs, woodland, and wetlands where you will encounter various wildlife including bird species, antelopes, and other smaller animals.
The walk provides a unique opportunity to appreciate the park’s intricate ecosystems, enjoy the breathtaking views, and experience the sights, sounds and scents of the African wilderness up close. After the experience you will return back to your lodge for lunch. After lunch you will check out of your accommodation and then you will fly to Entebbe and then arrive in two hours. And once you arrive you will be dropped to Entebbe International Airport to catch your flight back home or dropped to your hotel in Kampala that will make your safari come to the end.
