3 Days Lake Mburo Tour : Roughly 10,000 animals share this 370km2 park of verdant grassy plains. This includes almost all the animals in the antelope family such as topi, bushbucks, impala amd elands. Others include giraffes, buffalos, Lions are however in limited numbers, mainly because there are extremely few females to reproduce with. This in turn makes the park very safe for horseback riding, nature walks, cycling and hiking. However, most tourists prefer game drives due to the hilly nature of the landscape which requires quite an effort to ride over.
Day1: Entebbe/Kampala-Lake Mburo National Park
After breakfast, meet our driver/guide thereafter transfer to Lake Mburo national park with en-route stopover at the Uganda equator for memorable photographs and snacks and then lunch at your lodge. Evening enjoying the sundowner game drives spotting for wildlife species like zebras, buffalos and giraffes among others. Activities to encounter include the game drives, boat cruise along the Lake Mburo. Activities encountered include the game drives wildlife viewing and boat cruise!
Dinner and overnight at Mihingo Lodge/Mantana Luxury Tented Camp/Rwakobo Rock Lodge/Mburo Safari Lodge/Mburo Eagles Nest Camp. Meal plan: H/B
Day2: Game Drives & Boat Ride
Have breakfast and after take dawn game drive looking for the wildlife. At times it may appear that zebras outnumber the tourists, which in turn makes Lake Mburo an essential stop on Uganda’s western circuit and one you certainly wouldn’t miss. With vast lake that is interlinked by swamps, the park is an A-list destination for boat cruises too. Its shoreline is packed with just about every species of African wildlife you can imagine including all schools of hippos and crocodiles. This makes wildlife viewing ever-so-easy, especially if you plan your trip very early in the morning when animals are in an active state.
Thereafter return to lodge for dinner and overnight. Meal plan: F/B
Day3: Lake Mburo-Kampala/Entebbe
After breakfast, take another game drive or horseback ride to spot animals you didn’t register luck in encountering the previous day. Thereafter, embark on the safari and have lunch en-route and then transfer back to Kampala/Entebbe for your return flight.
