3 Days Uganda Chimpanzee Trekking Tour : Kibale Forest National Park is a lush jungle in Western Uganda where man’s closest cousins-chimps roam against the stunning backdrop of Rwenzori-Africa’s third highest mountain. Beyond having the highest population of chimpanzees in East Africa(over 1,200), Kibale is home to other primate species including olive baboons, bush babies, black and white colubus, blue monkeys, red tailed monkeys, ververts and l’hoest among others. The park also has forest elephants, buffalos, hippos, and bush bucks. Most of these animals reside in its Northern section, an area with a permanent swamp. It is adjacent to Bigodi, a vast wetland where bird watching thrives. Bigodi offers a lovely ending to ones chimpanzee tour, popularized as chimpanzee safaris, and yes, you will explore it. Day1: Depart Entebbe/Kampala for Kibale Forest National Park
After your breakfast from your hotel of residence, you will be picked up by our driver/guide. You will embark on a four hour safari that is destined to the hilliest part of western Uganda. You will pass travel through Mityana-Mubende highway, a well paved road that connects Tooro Kingdom to the Buganda, the kingdom after which Uganda was named.
Upon arrival in Fort Portal, you will have lunch at Garden Restaurant. This will be followed by a half day tour of cultural attractions of Tooro Kingdom such as museum, palace and royal tombs. After this, you will be transfer to your lodge for relaxation.
Dinner and overnight at Kyaninga Lodge/Ndali Lodge/Kibale Primate Cottages/Kibale safari Lodge/Kibale Forest camp. Meal plan: H/B
Day2: Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale National Park & Bigodi nature walk
Have early morning breakfast and after transfer to the park head offices for briefing about the primates and the forest as well. After with your private porter enter into the rain forest to search for the shy chimpanzees in the tree branches. Although the steep climbing challenge remains the weak link, Kibale’s popularity is rising by the day as newer routes are established for people without prior hiking experience. In the outskirts of the park, you will later find one of the last places on earth with beautiful crater lakes that showcase nature’s beauty. In short, Kibale is the sort of destination where even your average hike feels like stepping into a documentary by National Geographic.
In the evening, you will visit the Bigodi wetland for an eco-nature walk to search for the rare shoe bill, Sitatunga, white and black colobus, vervet monkeys and manageably. At this community owned sanctuary, so many of the captivating dramas of the African wild are played out on a daily basis.

Day3: Kibale Forest-Kampala/Entebbe
Have breakfast, after visit the Amabere Ga Nyinamwiru caves in the Nyakasura area. It has a cave system that offers the A-Z about how stalactites and stalagmites are formed.
Have lunch and after embark our safari vehicle and transfer back to Kampala/Entebbe for your return flight back home. Thanks for entrusting us with your tour around our motherland, Uganda.
