Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park.
On the 1st day of the safari, your safari your safari guide will pick you from Entebbe International Airport or from your hotel in Kampala and welcome you about the 4 days safari. He will later belief you about the safari, then proceed with your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park, the south-western Uganda through using Masaka-Mbarara highway with the a stopover at the equator to have the experience, as well as grabbing the snacks, taking the pictures and among others. After you will proceed with your journey and make a second stopover in Mbarara town for lunch. After lunch you will proceed with your journey from Mbarara to Bwindi Impenetrable national park, where you will pass through the scenic Kigezi Highlands, with the rolling hills, lush forests and then the villages. The drive takes you through the stunning landscape of the ‘’Switzerland of Africa’’, with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys, offering a glimpse into rural Ugandan life and preparing you for the adventure a head in Bwindi. And once you arrive you will check in your lodge and be served with dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking experience and Batwa tours.
On the 2nd day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast. After breakfast you will carry your lunch, and meet your safari guide to where he will transfer you to the park’s headquarters for the gorilla trekking briefing of the rules and regulations to follow. After the briefing you will be allocated a gorilla family to trek and a park guide who is knowledgeable about the mountain gorillas and also conversant with the various gorilla trekking traits.
Gorilla trekking takes a period of about 30 minutes to 6 hours depending on the location of the gorillas. During gorilla trekking you will be impressed with the diverse spotting of various biodiversity and once the mountain gorillas are spotted you be given a period of one hour to be in the presence of the gorillas, that is watching them feeding, playing, breastfeeding, mothers grooming their young ones, taking pictures and recording their videos and among others. After the experience you will be transferred back to the starting point to where you will be will receive the gorilla trekking certificates for taking part in gorilla trekking.
You will later engage in the Batwa cultural experience, this is where the visitors will learn about the traditional way of life of the Batwa people, an indigenous tribe that once inhabited the forest. The experience includes a guided tour to the Batwa community, where the visitors can participate in the traditional activities like hunting, gathering and crafting and learn about the Batwa’s rich cultural heritage and history. After the experience you will be transferred to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi and boat cruise experience.
On the 3rd day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy your hearty breakfast. After breakfast you will check out from your lodge and then meet your safari guide and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. This is where you will pass through the small villages and farmland. The stunning drive offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape, with the majestic Virunga Mountains providing a dramatic backdrop, before arriving at the serene shores of Lake Bunyonyi a tranquil oasis surrounded by the lush vegetation and the rolling hills, and once you arrive you will check in your lodge and enjoy lunch. After lunch you go for the boat cruise.
This is the beautiful experience, you will cross through the clear waters, you will take in the stunning views of the surrounding hills and valleys, while spotting local fishermen and birdlife, that includes the African fish eagles, Grey Crowned Crane, Egyptian Goose, Yellow-billed Duck, Pied Kingfisher, Village Indigo bird, Red-winged Starling and many others. The cruise offers a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere, with the majestic Virunga Mountains providing a dramatic backdrop making it a perfect way to unwind and soak up the natural beauty of Lake Bunyonyi. After the experience you will be transferred to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 4: Departure.
On the last day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy your hearty breakfast. After breakfast you will check out from your lodge and meet your safari guide and depart to Kampala or Kigali. Along the way you will have enroute lunch. After lunch you will proceed with your journey until you reach Kigali to Entebbe and once you arrive you will be dropped at your best convenient place that will make your safari come to the end.
