4 days Uganda gorillas, and chimpanzee safari is the short and then rewarding safari that takes you to Uganda’s Bwindi impenetrable national park for gorilla trekking, as well as tree climbing lions in Ishasha and fascinating boat cruise on Kazinga channel and then chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura Gorge.
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
On day one of the safari, your safari guide will pick you from Entebbe International Airport or from your hotel in Kampala/Entebbe. You will start on your journey to Bwindi with a stopover at the equator for the experience and taking some beautiful photos. Proceed with your journey and make another stopover along the way for lunch. You will continue with your journey to Bwindi with impressive views along the way until you reach the lodge, check in for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park and transfer to Ishasha.
Wake up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast, check out from your lodge with your packed lunch and meet your safari guide and then transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing about gorilla trekking. After the briefing you will enter the forest and look for the mountain gorillas, and this takes from 30 minutes to 5 hours with impressive views of various bird species, animal species and many more. Once the gorillas are found you will spend one hour in their presence watching them doing their daily activities. After one hour, return back to the starting point and be awarded with certificates.
Then you will start on your journey to your lodge in Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth national park, Ishasha sector is known for its tree climbing lions, a behavior that is seen in few places. You will check in for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 3: Ishasha game drive, Boat cruise on Kazinga channel in Queen Elizabeth national park.
After breakfast, you will head to Ishasha to search for tree climbing lions in the fig trees, but as well you see buffaloes, Topis, Uganda kobs, elephants and others, you will also continue with the game drive in the national park to search for more wildlife. After the experience you will drive to your lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will head for the thrilling boat cruise that takes about 2 to 3 hours on the famous Kazinga channel that links Lake Edward and Lake Gorge, this is where you will witness hippos yawning and then large schools of crocodiles gaping along the banks, many animal species along the water shores washing their thirst and numerous numbers of the bird species. After return to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura Gorge and transfer to Kampala/ Entebbe.
After breakfast, you will check out from your lodge, then meet with your safari guide and transfer to Kyambura gorge for chimpanzee trekking, and you will search for the chimpanzees. After trekking, you will proceed with your journey to Kampala/Entebbe with the en-route lunch along the way and then get back to Kampala/Entebbe in the late afternoon as your guide drops you off to your convenient place that will bring your safari to the end.
