The 4 Days Uganda Gorillas & Lake Bunyonyi takes you to Bwindi impenetrable national park. Yes it is true that Bwindi is an excellent place to see many flagship mammal species including forest elephants, wild chimpanzees, forest buffalos. However, Bwindi is above all for mountain gorilla safaris as it has over 50% of the world’s surviving population. This four day safari is a first class ticket to encountering them in their natural habitat. Afterwards, you will cool off the steam at one of the cozy resorts of Lake Bunyonyi, Africa’s second deepest lake. From here, you will have scenic views of undulating terrain land forms around the Lake, and its abundant bird species!
Day1: Entebbe/Kampala-Bwindi Gorilla Park
After breakfast, meet our driver/guide and have orientation, thereafter transfer to south-western Uganda via Masaka-Mbarara highway with en-route stopover at the Uganda equator for amazing photographs and snacks. Drive to Agip Motel/Regency Hotel in Mbarara town for your lunch, after embark the safari jeep and transfer to the Bwindi forest via the stunning undulating western land scape and upon your arrival check in at your lodge either Mahogany Springs/Buhoma Lodge/Gorilla Safari Lodge/Lake Mutanda Resort. Day2: Uganda Gorilla Trekking and safari to Lake Bunyonyi
Have early morning breakfast, after embark the safari jeep and transfer to the park headquarters for briefing about the mountain gorillas and the forest as well. After the briefing with your porters enter into the jungle to search for the mountain gorillas. Bwindi’s dense jungle offers a hike of a lifetime, a hike that stretches the muscles and awakens ones sense of wonder due to the scenic gems enroute. One such is a waterfall that flows with crystal clear water, Muyaga is its name.
At the end of your gorilla trek, you will be transferred to Lake Bunyonyi. Dinner and overnight at Arcadia Cottages/Bird Nest Cottages/Bunyonyi Overland. Meal plan: F/B
Day3: Boat Cruise along Lake Bunyonyi
Have breakfast and after take a boat cruise along the Lake Bunyonyi visiting beautiful dotted islands, most of which have various bird species. You will also visit local communities for a taste of their enthusiastic traditional dances. Return to lodge for lunch and evening enjoy sand bathing at the shores of the Lake; enjoy the evening Batwa cultural performances
Day4: Lake Bunyonyi-Kampala/Entebbe
Have breakfast and thereafter embark the safari jeep and with lunch en-route at the Uganda equator for your last memorable photographs, return back to Kampala/Entebbe for your return flight. End of 4 Days Uganda Gorillas & Lake Bunyonyi
