Detailed itinerary.
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to your hotel.
On the first day of your safari, depending on your time of arrival at Entebbe International Airport. You safari guide from African Vacation Safaris will welcome you and belief you about the 4 days safari, then later you will be transferred to your hotel in Entebbe relax, be served with dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Flight to Bwindi impenetrable National Park and Batwa cultural tour.
On the second day of the safari, you will wake up early in the morning and then be served with a delicious breakfast, after you will check out from your hotel and then meet up with your drive guide to transfer you to Entebbe International Airport for the domestic flight with Aero link Uganda to Kisoro airstrip. And once you arrive you will meet up with your driver guide and then be transferred to Bwindi impenetrable national park where you will check into your lodge and then be served be lunch. After lunch you will meet your safari guide and then go for the Batwa cultural tour this is where you will interact with the local Batwa people, that is learning about their culture, tradition, way of living and then you will enjoy their traditional performance, their hunting and gathering practices, and their ancient connection to the forest and among many others. After the experience, you will be transferred back to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 3: Gorilla habituation experience.
On the third day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy your hearty breakfast, after breakfast together with packed lunch and then meet your safari guide and transfer to the park headquarters for the gorilla habitation briefing about the rules and regulations to follow during gorilla habituation in Rushaga sector. After the briefing you will start the gorilla habituation experience in the forest with the group of the scientists, conservationists, researchers to search to the mountain gorillas that takes you the almost the full day.
During the trekking you will be fascinated by the various biodiversity until you find the habituated mountain gorillas, and once the gorillas are found you will be able to be in the presence of the gorillas for four hours in their natural habitats, this is where you will be able to carry your research about the gorillas, watching them doing their daily activities like feeding, breastfeeding, mothers grooming their young ones, participating in the naming process, taking photos, recording their videos and among others. After the gorilla habituation experience with the gentle giants, you will trek back to the park headquarters to where you will be awarded with the gorilla habituation certificate for taking part in gorilla habituation and later meet up with your driver guide and then be transferred to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 4: Departure flight back to Entebbe International Airport.
On the last day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy your hearty breakfast, after breakfast you will check out from your lodge and then meet up with your safari driver guide and transfer to Kisoro airstrip for your departure flight to Entebbe International Airport, and once you arrive the airport you will connect and fly back home that will make your safari come to the end.
