5 days Bwindi gorilla trekking and Queen Elizabeth safari is Uganda’s intriguing safari experience that offers the opportunity to explore Uganda’s famous wildlife that is the mountain gorillas in Bwindi impenetrable national park and beautiful mammals in Queen Elizabeth National Park for the wonderful Uganda safari experience with African Vacation Safaris.
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
On the first day of the safari, your safari guide will pick you from Entebbe International Airport or from your hotel in Kampala/Entebbe, start the scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, with a stopover at the equator in Kayabwe for equator experience, taking pictures. Procced with your journey and make another stopover in Mbarara for en-route lunch. After lunch drive until in Bwindi with spectacular views of terraced farmlands, rolling hills. Upon arrival check in your lodge, for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park.
After breakfast, with your trekking equipment’s, packed lunch. You will be transferred to the park headquarters for a briefing about gorilla trekking. After briefing, you will enter the forest with park rangers and look for mountain gorillas that takes from 30 minutes to 5 hours depending on the location of gorillas. Once found you will spend one hour in the presence of the gorillas, watching them doing their daily activities like play, feed, groom, breastfeed, and among others, taking pictures and recording videos using less or no flash camera.
After one hour you will trek back to the starting point and awarded certificates for participating in gorilla trekking. Drive back to the lodge for relaxation, later dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
After breakfast, check out from the lodge and begin your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park with a stopover in Ishasha sector to view the tree climbing lions lying in acacia tree branches and alongside other animals. After you will have en-route lunch and proceed with your journey to Queen Elizabeth national park, arrive check in and relax, enjoy dinner and then overnight stay.
Day 4: Morning game drive and boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth national park.
Wake up enjoy breakfast, meet your driver guide and go for a morning game driver in Kasenyi plains and search for elephants, lions, leopards, Uganda kobs, buffaloes, bushbucks, warthogs and many more. Optional you may go for lion tracking experience, after proceed to your lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will go for a boat cruise safari o Kazinga channel for the perfect experience that offers you the opportunity to watch aquatic bird species, animals along the water shores, then watching large schools of crocodiles, then hippos in water to where you take beautiful pictures. After you will be transferred to the lodge for evening relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Return to Kampala.
Wake up, enjoy breakfast then check out from your lodge and meet your safari drive and then start on journey back to Kampala with en-route lunch in Kampala. After lunch, proceed to Kampala and your driver guide will drop you off at your place of advice that will bring your safari come to the end.
