5 days Kibale and Queen Elizabeth Uganda safari is Uganda’s stunning safari experience that takes you to the country’s safari destinations and experience the thrilling chimpanzee tracking and incredible game drives and then wonderful boat cruise experience. The trip offers you the spectacular road trip into the verdant forests during your way which is a fantastic safari experience.
Day 1: Kampala to Kibale Forest National Park.
Depending on your location, on the first day of the safari your safari guide from African Vacation Safaris will pick you from Entebbe International Airport or from your hotel in Entebbe/Kampala. He will welcome you and brief you about the safari, and later start your journey that is approximately 5 to 6 hours with beautiful landscape views along the way including the savannah plains, banana plantations, and many more. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch and relax in the afternoon. Later in the later evening enjoy dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi wetland walk in Kibale Forest National Park.
After breakfast, your safari guide will transfer you to the Kanyanchu for the chimpanzee tracking briefing. After briefing you will start the tracking with the park rangers, in the forest to look for the chimpanzees and this takes from 30 minutes to four hours. During trekking you will see other primates like L’Hoest’s monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, olive baboons and others, alongside various bird species and butterflies. Once chimpanzees are found spend one hour with them watching them doing their daily activities. After you will return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will go for a guided walk through Bigodi wetland sanctuary where you will see a variety of bird species and then other primates. After the walk transfer to the lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park for boat cruise experience.
After breakfast, check out and start your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park that takes you about 3 hours’ drive which is scenic drive offers you the chance to see crater lakes, valleys, views of snow-capped Rwenzori Mountains, and many more. Upon arrival, check in your lodge enjoy lunch.
After lunch you will go for a boat cruise experience on Kazinga channel which lasts from 2 to 3hours to where you will see hippos, Nile crocodiles, and various water bird species as other animal species come along the water shores to drink water like buffaloes, elephants, Uganda Kobs. After return to the lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 4: Lion tracking and game drives in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
After breakfast, you will have a full day in the park, that is you will enjoy the lion tracking experience in the park which is rewarding safari experience, while as well as spotting other animal species during the experience. Later transfer back to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will go in the park to see more wildlife that you missed during the previous days like bushbucks, jackals, duikers, Topis, buffaloes, leopards, hyenas and others without forgetting various bird species. After return to the lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 5: Departure.
Wake up, enjoy breakfast then check out. Then start your journey to Kampala with the perfect views along the way, you will make a first stopover for en-route lunch. Proceed the journey and make a second stopover in Kayabwe for the equator experience then purchasing souvenirs, you will continue with your journey until Kampala and be dropped at your convenient place that will bring your safari come to the end.
