Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe-welcome to Uganda.
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by your safari representative from our company and brief you about the safari then be transferred to your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel in Entebbe.
Day 2: Fly to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
After breakfast, then transfer to the airport for your flight to the Airstrip near Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The flight gives you stunning aerial views of Uganda’s rolling hills, lakes, forests and rural villages. When you reach at the airstrip, your driver guide will welcome you and transfer you to your lodge located near the gorilla trekking sector.
In the afternoon, you may relax at your lodge or optional participate community walk to meet local people and learn about their life. Later dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.
Day 3: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.
Today is the highlight of your safari and one of the unforgettable wildlife experiences in Africa. After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing about the rules and regulations during gorillas trekking, later be grouped and assigned a gorilla family and begin your trek through the dense rainforest.
Gorilla trekking can take from 30 minutes to five hours depending on the location of the gorillas, the experience is intriguing that will offer you unique sightings of birds, butterflies, and beautiful forest scenery. Once the gorillas are found, you will spend one hour observing them in their natural habitat. Watching the gorillas feed, play, rest and interact with each other is both emotional and unforgettable. After the trek, you return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Batwa cultural experience and nature walk in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
After breakfast, you enjoy a cultural experience with the Batwa community, the original forest people who once lived in Bwindi Forest. During the visit, the Batwa share stories about their traditional lifestyle, hunting skills, dances and songs and among others. After transfer to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you may enjoy a guided nature walk around the forest or relax at the lodge while taking in wonderful atmosphere. Later dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Fly back to Entebbe.
After breakfast, check out from your lodge and transfer to the nearby airstrip for your return flight to Entebbe. The flight again offers you spectacular views of Uganda’s landscapes from above. Upon arrival in Entebbe, have lunch then be transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight. This marks the end of your incredible Uganda Gorilla Trek Fly-in safari.
