6 days Uganda primate luxury safari is designed for the travelers who want to experience the country’s attractive primates in a very comfort and style way. The safari combines scenic flights, exclusive lodges and then guided forest experience taking you deep into the lush landscapes of Kibale Forest National Park and Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The safari offers you the chance to track chimpanzees, walk through community wetlands, and then meet the mountain gorillas face to face, this itinerary offers a well-paced and then rewarding adventure, balanced with relaxation and personalized service throughout.
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe.
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your safari representative and then transferred to your luxury hotel with perfect views. You will relax, later enjoy dinner, and overnight stay.
Day 2: Fly to Kibale Forest National Park.
After breakfast, you will be transferred for a scheduled domestic flight to the western region of Uganda, followed by a short road transfer to Kibale Forest National Park. You will arrive during lunch time at your lodge, the afternoon is free for relaxation, with options to enjoy the lodge’s surroundings or prepare for the next day’s trek. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking and private Bigodi Walk.
After breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before setting out on your chimpanzee trek. Accompanied by experienced guides, you will walk through the forest while searching for a chimpanzee group. And once located, you will spend one hour observing their behaviour in their natural habitat. Later transfer back to your lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, you will enjoy the private guided walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, this peaceful area is rich in birdlife and then smaller primates, offering a more intimate and slower paced nature experience. Return to your lodge for a dinner, overnight stay.
Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi (optional Helicopter Transfer).
After breakfast, you will travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. If you prefer comfort and stunning aerial views, you may choose an optional helicopter transfer, significantly reducing on the time of traveling that offers a unique perspective of the Uganda’s landscapes. You will arrive at your lodge in the afternoon then spend the rest of the day relaxing, enjoying the forest surroundings and preparing for gorilla trekking. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.
Day 5: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park.
After breakfast, you will transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing about rules and regulations for gorilla trekking before starting your gorilla trekking. After briefing, you will go to the dense forest while guided by trackers who will help you locate the gorilla families. Once you find the gorillas, you will spend one unforgettable hour observing their interactions, movements, and then social behaviour. After one hour, return to the starting point and be offered gorilla trekking certificates, then drive to your lodge for relaxation and reflection on the day’s experience.
Day 6: Departure.
After breakfast, transfer to the nearby airstrip for your domestic flight back to Entebbe. On arrival, you may have time for lunch then later transfer to the airport for your international departure flight that brings the end of your luxury primate safari to the end.
