Day 1: Arrival.
Upon arrival in Uganda, at Entebbe International Airport, you will be greeted and welcomed by your safari representative from African Vacation Safaris and then be briefed about the safari then transfer to your luxury hotel for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Fly to Murchison Falls National Park.
After breakfast, check out from your lodge and then transfer to the airport for your scheduled flight to Murchison falls national park. Upon arrival at the airstrip, you will be met by your guide and transferred to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you will enjoy your first game drive in the park, to where you may spot elephants, giraffes, buffaloes and antelopes, and as well as visiting the top of the falls with the perfect views. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Game drive and Nile Boat safari in Murchison falls national park.
After breakfast, start your day with a morning game drive in the northern sector of the park, known for its high concentration of the wildlife. You will spot large wildlife like lions, elephants, and large herds of Uganda kobs and many bird species. After drive to your lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, take a boat safari along Victoria Nile towards the base of the base of the falls. Along the experience, you will see hippos, crocodiles and a variety of bird species. The view of the Nile forcing its way through the narrow gorge at the falls is one of the attractions of the safari. Drive back to the lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 4: Fly to Kibale Forest National Park.
After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your flight to Kibale Forest National Park. Once you arrive, you will be transferred to your lodge located close the forest for your lunch. Then spend the afternoon relaxing and enjoying the environment. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi Walk experience in Kibale Forest National Park.
Wake up early in the morning, enjoy your breakfast and then head into Kibale Forest for a briefing about the rules and regulations for chimpanzee trekking. After the briefing you will be accompanied with experienced guides and then walk through the forest while looking for the chimpanzees, and once the chimpanzees are located you will spend one hour observing them doing their daily activities like feeding, grooming, interacting and among others. Return back the lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, you will enjoy a guided nature walk in the Bigodi wetland sanctuary to spot the unique smaller primates and then various bird species. Drive back to the lodge for a relaxed evening, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Fly to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Enjoy breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your lodge and then spend the afternoon relaxing while enjoying the forest views and preparing for the next day’s gorilla trek. Dinner, and overnight stay.
Day 7: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
After your breakfast, you will be transferred to the park headquarters for a briefing before starting your gorilla trekking. The trek takes you through dense forest with the guided trackers who locate the gorillas. Once you find the gorillas, you will spend one unforgettable hour observing their natural behaviour and among others, taking their pictures and recording their movies. After the trek, return to your lodge to relax and reflect on the experience. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 8: Fly to Entebbe.
After breakfast, transfer to the nearby airstrip for your fight back to Entebbe. Upon arrival, you will be catching your flight back home that will bring your safari come to the end.
