Ngonye Falls
Ngonye falls also known as Sioma Falls are close to the town of Sioma. Since the waterfall empties into the upstream Victoria Falls, it is definitely an important part of the Zambezi River. Determined to be hidden from the visitors and travellers, the breathtaking falls could be hardly within reach. Deep volume of water pouring over the clean twenty-meter-wide drop makes the Ngonye Falls most breathtaking.
This 20 m/66 ft waterfall is found in the village of Sioma (also called the Sioma Falls). Though not the highest, the sheer volume of these falls makes them remarkable and well worth seeing. Popular for tiger fishing, the length of the Zambezi River here is also accessible for kayaking and whitewater rafting.
One amazing feature of the river is that it runs under the cliff for either side of the falls and then presents an amazing perspective for the water surface.
