Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Victoria Falls
On arrival at Victoria Falls International Airport, you will be met by an African Vacation Safaris representative – your private guide and transferred to your hotel in the Victoria Falls residential area.
In the evening, your guide will give you an orientation briefing before you enjoy your first evening in this beautiful town known as “Mosi-oa-Tunya”, with dinner at the lodge and time to plan your Victoria Falls adventures.

Day 2: Victoria Falls Tour
After breakfast, you will head out for a Victoria Falls Tour. Today is dedicated to exploring the magnificent Victoria Falls and its surrounding attractions, you will take part in several activities including a guided tour of the magnificent Victoria Falls (2-3 hours), where you will walk along the 1.7km rainforest path to witness multiple viewpoint of this natural wonder.
The day offers flexibility to add optional activities like white water rafting on the might Zambezi River, bungee jumping from the 111 meter Victoria Falls Bridge, or a sunset cruise – all available within 5 km of your accommodation.

Day 3: Transfer to Sable Valley, Hwange National Park Safari
Today, you will drive from the Victoria Falls to Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe’s Premier game viewing destination on a drive of approximately 3 hours of approximately 200km. Arrival at your lodge situated on a private concession bordering the national park, where you will enjoy lunch before an afternoon game drive. Lookout for elephants, buffaloes and several predators.

Day 4: Game Drive in Hwange National Park
Wake up to amazing sounds of the African bush, then embark on an early morning game drive through Hwange’s diverse landscape locally known as “Amandundumela” – Place of the Rhinos. This immersive day of game viewing includes tracking wildlife across the wildlife across the park’s famous vlei systems and acacia woodlands, home to over 100 mammal species.
Your Zimbabwe tour continues in the afternoon with a visit to the photographic hide near a busy waterhole, followed by a night game drive offering rare glimpses of nocturnal creatures like aardvarks, genets, and hunting predators.

Day 5: Walking Safari in Hwange National Park
Wake up early for breakfast and head out for a guided walking safari through Hwange’s wilderness areas, allowing intimate encounters with smaller creatures and various plant species often missed from vehicles. This exceptional safari experience lasts approximately 3-4 hours, showcasing the tracking skills of our guide in the area known as “Wankie” to locals.
In the afternoon, you will go for a game drive to Ngamo plains, followed by the option to sleep under the star bed platform – a magical conclusion to your safari experience.

Day 6: End of Tour and Departure
Today is your final day of 6 Day Budget Zimbabwe Overland Safari & Victoria Falls: An Authentic Wildlife Journey. The day begins with a leisurely breakfast at the lodge while enjoying last views of wildlife at the nearby waterhole.
Check out of your lodge and embark on a 3 hour transfer back to Victoria Falls International Airport where you will be dropped to catch your international flight back home bringing your safari to an end.
